"DORY" AVAILABLE for ADOPTION with "AGAVE RESCUE" the coolest pup!
"The cheese stands alone…
Dory is the last puppy in a litter of 5 we brought to our program back on July 13th! And now at 5 months (30 lbs), she’s never even had a meet and greet. How a puppy can be in rescue for over a month without so much as a meet and greet is a little disheartening. We are hoping things turn around soon for Dory!
Dory is full of joy. The world is her oyster. She is a happy, friendly, confident, playful, smart puppy. But she’s black. And black puppies are so much harder to find homes for.
With a month of potty and crate training under her belt in foster, Dory promises a pretty smooth transition into a new home. Her foster has done a great job with the puppy rearing piece but it’s time to pass the torch and for Dory to graduate on to a new family

Dory's breed guess (no parents to reference) Pitmix/german shepherd, adoption $250, (will be spayed) female, DOB 4-2-25 (apprx) wt: 23 lbs on 6/27/25
- Approximate date of birth: 4/2/25
- Weighs approximately 20 pounds on 6/27/25
- Possibly a Pit Bull/German shepherd mix but we are only taking our best guess as we have no parent dogs to reference.
- Social, happy, playful puppy who loves people and other dogs
- Fostered with two cats and has done well with them. She backed off fast when one cat swiped her after she got too close.
- Fostered with kids ages 11+ but would likely do fine with younger kids
- Doing well with crate training
- Potty training is going well and she is definitely grasping the concept
- Walks on leash
- Playful and loves to chase after toys and bring them back
Dory has had three rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, rabies vaccine, is microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon between 6 months to 1 year of age. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland, or Tualatin.
