Here's what you need to know about me:

It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.

My foster {note MIKA is currently at the shelter}knows me better than anyone! Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them:

"Mika greets new people a little reluctantly, but warms up super quickly. She is very, very sweet, LOVES cuddling, and will be very clingy (like all Dobermans) if you let her.

Mika needs someone who will take time to provide structure and boundaries. She doesn't seem to know "how to dog" in a house just yet. She will potty right away when taken outside, but still needs frequent outings (like a puppy) every couple hours to prevent accidents.

She is nervous around quick movements and noises of small children. With a cautious, slow warm up to kids, I think she could do okay.

She walks pretty well on a leash, but is fearful of busy environments. She's getting better every day, but needs someone calm and confident to remind her that everything is okay!

She loves and tries to play with smaller dogs immediately. She is also totally non-reactive to cats, even inquisitive ones!

Mika will need a slow introduction to dogs her size or larger, because she is extremely scared of them at first. It took her 2-3 days of observing my 100lb male Doberman from behind a baby gate until she would greet him without fearful reactions.

Mika is highly trainable! She's super food motivated, eager to please, and learning things very quickly."
