Meet August and Lincoln. These are two 5 year old bonded brothers who will come as a dynamic duo. Both are healthy, neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and AKC registered. They are available for adoption through no fault of their own. Due to a complicated and lengthy divorce, their family has made the difficult decision to find them the loving, stable home they deserve.
August ("Auggie")
Auggie is a 94 pound gentle giant with a loyal heart and an easygoing personality. Affectionate, attentive, and incredibly devoted to his people, he's the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side. While he naturally gravitates toward women, he has a calm, balanced temperament and forms strong bonds with those he trusts.
At home, Auggie is a wonderful companion. He's fully housebroken, non-destructive, and not an excessive barker, though he'll happily let you know when visitors or the mail arrive. He sleeps quietly through the night and would love nothing more than to snuggle up in bed or curl up between your legs on the couch after a day of play.
Auggie enjoys the simple things in life: car rides, playing fetch (especially with his Chuckit!), chewing on a favorite bone, and relaxing with his family. With regular exercise and daily opportunities to run, he's perfectly content to spend the rest of the day as a couch potato.
This handsome boy is exceptionally well-trained. He completed professional training and knows an impressive list of commands, including Sit, Stay, Come, Heel, Give Space, Gentle, Bedtime, Outside, Up, All Done, Down, Off, Park, Walk, Car, Food, and Treat. He even rings a bell when he needs to go outside! Auggie has excellent recall, is well socialized, and has regularly enjoyed supervised off-leash time in appropriate settings.
Auggie also has an outstanding boarding history. He attends doggy camp and overnight boarding, where he consistently receives glowing report cards from staff. When boarding, he and Lincoln have always stayed together for comfort and support.
Auggie would thrive in a home that offers routine, companionship, and room to stretch his legs. A fenced yard or acreage would be ideal, as he loves his daily open-field runs. He would do best in a calmer household with older children or adults, especially with someone who works from home or is home much of the day.
Lincoln ("Linc")
Lincoln, affectionately known as "Linc," weighs in at 81 pounds and is everything people love about a Weimaraner. Sweet, gentle, and incredibly devoted to his people, he's happiest when he's close to his family—especially if he's carrying his beloved blanket. (a true “Linus-nooker”) Linc loves to cuddle under the covers, tuck himself in with his blanket, and snuggle beside you after a day of adventure.
Linc is friendly, curious, and well-socialized. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, he's generally calm and confident rather than overly playful, and is often content to do his own thing. He's non-reactive, polite in social settings, and has an excellent track record at doggy daycare and boarding.
He's professionally trained, highly food-motivated, and knows a wide variety of commands. Linc is housebroken (bell trained), has outstanding recall, and is comfortable off leash in appropriate settings. The boys sleep quietly together and will happily share your bed or curl up with each other on dog beds.
Like most Weimaraners, Linc thrives with regular exercise. He'd much rather enjoy a 30-minute run than a long walk and would love a home with a securely fenced yard or acreage where he has room to stretch his legs and explore.
Linc would do best in a home with older children who can respect his space and routine. A calm household is ideal, and because of his prey drive, a cat-free home is recommended.
One of the most special parts of Linc's story is his bond with his brother, August. The two have grown up together, attend daycare together, board together, and sleep curled up side by side. They share a wonderful companionship and would love nothing more than to find a home together.
These boys come as a pair. If you're looking for a couple of faithful companions who are well-mannered, affectionate, and ready to become your best friend, these boys may be the perfect match. Please complete an application if you are interested.
