"CANELA" *Pre-select* Tiny Chihuahua "MCAS"

UPDATE 7/7/25 PRE-selected or on hold

MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for animal control are ensuring that  the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Management is failing us.

NOTE- it is important to check at the local animal shelters if you lose your pet as the stray hold time is only 3-6 days depending on if they have any id

"WOBBLE" French Bulldog/Staffy mix "STUMPTOWN STRAYS"

UPDATE 7/7/25 ADOPTED or on hold

Stumptown Strays" is a wonderful local Rescue that helps shelter dogs in need of medical assistance.

"WOBBLE" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Breed: French Bulldog & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, neutered male, house trained -he's getting there...)

3 years 31 lbs  Adoption Fee: $400

Dogs- yes , Kids - yes, Cats, yes

About Wobble

Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Curious, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Playful

Wobble, our 3 year old 31 pound dog, is likely a mix of a French Bulldog and a Staffy. People have been experimenting with this concoction to...make a bigger French Bulldog? A smaller Staffy? We aren't sure. This is a terrible idea. Wobble is the sweetest dog and he certainly deserved a better body than the one people designed for him. Although we can't help him with that, we can find him a great home.

We were asked to help Wobble after he was found stray and injured. Diagnosed with a fractured hip, he was also covered in bite wounds. Despite being uncomfortable, Wobble has always been 100% smiles and wags. We took in Wobble to help him heal from his wounds and to remove some fractured teeth. He's recovered perfectly.

You can't find anyone more friendly than Wobble. He is great with all people, all sizes of dogs and with cats. Wobble is a bit of a bulldozer when he plays and can get a little mouthy, so we recommend sturdy kids in his home. Wobbles is crate trained, loves car rides, and has been to several Pickles games where he is very distracting.

Although Wobble's hip is healed, due to his breeding, he looks like he was pieced together from several different dogs. Wobble is mostly head and has a tiny butt. He is almost tragically bowlegged and has a hard time getting around efficiently. Although comfortable now, Wobble is understandably not that into walks. He is happy to trot around a bit, but his adopter should get him a wagon if they want to go any distance. Wobble is brachycephalic (smooshed face) which means breathing is not his forte.

We suspect Wobble had never been in a house before we met him. He is still learning to exclusively pee outside because of this, but is coming a long way. Wobble looks great in a belly band.

Wobble is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives.

Have room for a snoring mini-tank at your place?

Bear has been in foster from the time he was a little pup (due to legal hold) He is well loved and socialized.  The hope is that an equally deserving party will adopt him!

Bear is eager to find a family that appreciates the work and patience involved in raising an adolescent pup. With his playful spirit, Bear is always ready for adventure! He enjoys playing with other dogs and going on long walks, making a securely fenced yard a perfect fit for him to expend some of his abundant energy. Bear is still young and inquisitive, so supervision during playtime is important. Bear has shown great promise in training, learning quickly thanks to his food motivation. He is nearly house-trained, with only occasional accidents, and is proficient in the command "leave it." During a recent outing, his recall was fantastic-he returned for treats with no issues, although he did show a strong prey drive towards birds. He was dog neutral both on and off-leash, but might be too much for small animals or cats. Bear would do well in a home with older children, as his excitement can sometimes be overwhelming-though it's all in good fun! He's a loving companion who enjoys snuggling after a day of play. With his charming personality, Bear is sure to bring joy and laughter into your home. It will be tough to say goodbye, but we know his perfect forever family is waiting just for him!

*gets along with dogs

in foster

Toffee, now affectionately called Brit, by her foster family is thriving in her new foster home! Once she settled in, she quickly found her groove and is truly enjoying the comforts of home life. House trained and only potties outside, she gets along wonderfully with the resident dog and is gentle around her foster family's children. Brit is an energetic player who loves a good wrestle, but she is also receptive to corrections from the more mellow resident dog, learning to tone it down when needed. Cuddling and napping are two of her favorite pastimes, and she absolutely thrives on long walks.

Her foster family has taken her on several 2-3 mile walks, and she enjoys them, doing well on her leash without showing reactivity to other dogs or barking pups in yards. While out exploring, Brit has shown a playful interest in chasing birds and enjoys splashing in puddles. She also loves car rides and seems to have a great time exploring during her outings. Stay tuned for more updates and photos next week as Brit continues to flourish in her foster home! Thank you for considering giving this sweet girl a forever home!
