"PETUNIA" PINT Size 30 lb Pitbull

 UPDATE 3/23/24 ADOPTED

PETUNIA loves her volunteer friends in the shelter, but has lingered in her kennel for weeks because she is afraid of meeting new people = she runs to the back of her kennel when strangers look in at her, and when she is shown to a potential adopter in the yard, she is too afraid to meet them.

In a home, PETUNIA is silly and lively and loves her toys. She is working on housetraining and needs someone who will take her out on a regular schedule. She is fun, cuddly and a special little dog who may not have had the best home prior to her stay in a foster home (she was returned from foster to the shelter because she was not good with dogs at home)

PETUNIA MUST be the only pet in the home (hasn't been with cats, but she would chase and harass them) and she does not understand other dogs correcting her, and she goes into defense mode.

She is a darling little dog!

Please ask if you can meet Petunia in a quiet office space, and sit down with her and give her time to get to know you. (chicken helps!)  It would be great if you could come by more than once.

NEEDS a house with fenced yard to safely run and play fetch

Hello, future pet parent! I'm Petunia, a gentle soul with a heart as delicate as my name. Initially shy and fearful, I might need a little time to blossom, but once I do, get ready for a burst of joy and affection. My absolute favorite pastime? Playing fetch! I'm not just good; I'm lightning-fast, and watching me zoom around your yard with pure delight is sure to bring a smile to your face. Fetch is my happy place, and I can't wait to share those moments of joy with you. I've discovered that I shine brightest as the only pet in the home. I'm not always on the same page as my fellow canine friends, and I prefer the spotlight all to myself. With your undivided attention, I can be the perfect petunia in your garden of love. If you're seeking a loyal, playful companion who just needs a little time to bloom into the best version of herself, I'm Petunia, waiting for a patient and loving home. Let's embark on this journey together and create a beautiful bond that lasts a lifetime.
