"JACK" GREAT PYRENEES - Beautiful lovable Gentle Giant - likes other nice dogs

Update 9/1/23 Adopted

Love this big guy, and In spite of what some people think about this breed, I bet that Jack would love to be an inside dog in a  home with his people, as long as he was also given lots of safe outdoor space to hang out in.  He is a sensitive guy who loves his friends, and may be suspicious of strangers (as his breed genes dictate) so continuing to make positive associations with new people is important in his new home.

Jack has been in shelter playgroups and does great with other friendly easy-going dogs

Please do your research on the Great Pyrenees breed, and then come visit this big guy "Jack"! Jack is timid, loves his friends and is easy to walk in quiet places - busy city life is NOT a match for this boy. He also likes other dogs (Jack may be a bit unsure at first, then really enjoys the company ) ps sometimes other dogs are intimidated by very dogs and may try to bully them)

My name is Jack! I am a young, Great Pyrenees looking for my furever family! I am a loyal companion who is a bit shy at first but once I am comfortable with you I will be your best bud! My new family needs to have good knowledge of my breed or of livestock guardian dogs in general. Being a livestock guardian breed, I require a nice, big area that is fenced completely around for me to roam. My new yard will preferably have a nice tall fence so that I can't follow my nose away from home! Other than having that nice, big fenced yard, my new family needs to remember that I am a working breed and I need to be mentally stimulated as well with things such as snuffle mats, puzzle toys, learning new tricks, etc. If you are interested in meeting me, speak with an adoption counselor today to learn more about me!
