Foster
verb 1. to encourage or promote the development of something, typically something regarded as good. Well, isn’t that fitting. I sure could use some encouragement. A patient and playful family. A place that will foster an environment of love, guidance, and training. One with other dogs to play with or maybe even some children 6+ to cherish me—but only if they are up for plenty of roughhousing followed by cuddles. I am doing really well with my crate training, which is wonderful for continuing the housebreaking I already have a head start on. Because I must of course be a house dog—hanging in the backyard all day is no fun for anyone. I want to be a real part of the family, curled up on the couch or sleeping under the covers. I’ve got all the potential you could ever ask for, I just need someone like you to help Foster an environment of love.

My adoption fee is $260 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Hi!! I'm Foster, an active and playful one year old Shepherd mix. You could call me the hands-on type, but since I don't have hands I learn with my mouth! I am discovering new things about the world around me every day, and would love some focused training during my adolescence. I LOVE other dogs, maybe even too much for my own good. I was observed to have a pretty rowdy play style in playgroups, and would do well with a doggie having a similar play style. I still have my puppy energy, and therefore would love a fenced in yard to help me get all of that out. I am great with people of all ages, but have been noted to have a high prey drive when it comes to cats. The shelter is asking that my new home is kitty free! I am up for all of the activities, and ready to amaze my new family with my exuberance. Are you looking for a new hiking buddy? HI! Maybe even a running buddy? HI!!! I really am a beautiful and sweet boy looking for my new home. Please come meet me! :)
