 May 23, 2023 UPDATE Adopted
Good boy, had an unstable young life prior to going into foster  and he is responding incredibly well to training, love and a safe environment. He needs someone smart, willing to continue using positive method training, and who he can trust to commit to him and be a best friend. He has come a long way in a short time!

Hi, My name is Buddy. I'm a German Shepherd mix and still have a lot of
puppy energy. I love enrichment activities. I'll talk about that a
little later. I love to get pets, ALL the pets. I look for people to
pet me on my walk, and while my foster person is working. My favorite is
when my foster person sits in a chair, pets me and brushes me. I'm also
good at knowing when my foster person needs someone to lean on. I've
been known to come to her, give her a nose bump, and rest my head on her
lap or shoulder which always cheers her up.
I love to bounce around and play with my favorite squeaky toy, Gator. My
foster person says I have the most beautiful play bows when I'm ready
to start playing. I'm a napping professional. I use Gator as my lovey
when I nap. My foster person has a lot of meetings so I take that time
for my chew toys, snuffle mat, or naps. My foster says I'm a quiet dog
during the work day but I snore a little.
Before bed, my foster and I have a nice wind down where I ask for some
pets, and give a Buddy version of a hug (I lean on her and put my head
on her lap). Then I go to my crate for bed.
I'm learning manners. I know I need to sit and wait for my treats and
meals and I'm VERY good about it. I practice my commands: sit, wait, and
come every day. I can get distracted on my walks but I'm learning to
check in with my walker. I could use some training to help me and my
adopter bond. I love to learn and am an eager student.
This animal is in foster care! Apply to adopt them online!
