"LUCY" senior Pitbull

UPDATE 4/23/2023 Adopted

NOTE to any adopting any new dog.
Feed separately from other pets and kids. Put the new dog in a place where all animals feel secure, non-threatened.  None of the dogs should have to feel competition, whether it be a meal or a treat (or affection).  Give newly adopted dogs, foster dogs,  home dogs lots of time to adjust to a new addition!

Hello! My name is Lucy and I came to the shelter as a stray with my bestie, Sally. We love each other and would enjoy getting adopted together, but it is not required. Our histories are unknown, but we have been very sweet here in the shelter. I can be a little barky in my kennel, but it's just because I want to meet you so bad! Otherwise, I am generally a pretty quiet girl. I do come with some senior medical issues that one of our adoption counselors would be happy to discuss with you. I arrived here with a terrible Urinary Tract Infection and am currently on treatment for that, though it's not completely resolved yet. There are still some tests pending, but I am on my way to a full recovery and ready for adoption. I am looking for a relaxing environment where I can enjoy my golden years. I'm still pretty active, but also have a gentle, cuddly side. If you think we could make a great match, please come down to the shelter and meet me today!
