I am Charlie, a lab mix that's full of life. My greatest love is the outdoors. I would love to go on a long stroll with you or roll outside in the grass while you barbecue or garden. My foster parents have helped me heal over the last two months from a leg surgery. We'll have to take it easy for awhile until I make a full recovery. In the meantime, I've also been working to get slim and trim. I am a very strong girl and want to jump and play with new people I like. I'm seven. but still very playful. Sometimes I can be a bit protective of my things but as long as you let me do my thing we'll be fine. I would probably be best with kids over the age of 10 years and no other dogs in the home though. At home I'm pretty easy going. I'm kennel trained, potty trained and I know all my basic commands.

Here's Ms Charlie's "Before" pic
Charlie was much heavier when she came into the shelter - and has lost over lost over 17 lbs on a gentle weight loss program at her foster home. YAY!! Charlie's joints - and and especially her recent knee surgery - will benefit.
