"FINN" hoping he gets a great active home - Border Collie Puppy

ADOPTED!
July 1, 2015

Yes, Finn wants an active home!  But did you know that dogs under a year old shouldn't be "jogging" no less "running" for more than a  short duration? They are still developing and hard exercise can be harmful.  sorry, no links here, but there is lots of research to back this up - lots of daily exercise - but short duration - not the pounding, jumping, leaping or repetitive things that can later cause problems.

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

My name is Finn and I'm ready to find a new family. I am a very smart and active young lad, but am so eager to learn. The nice people that found me had wonderful things to say about me too! They only had me a week, but I lived with kids and another dog and did very well with them. I wasn't a huge fan of the neighbor dog though. Sometimes I would growl at him through the fence and if we saw each other on leash. I would certainly like to take things slow when meeting other dogs. I'm also very interested in the neighborhood kitties and find it fun to chase them, so I probably should live in a home without the feline type. My favorite toys are the rope ones and boy do I love to tease with them. The shelter is recommending reward-based classes to help us get started on the right paw. Although I am very smart, I do still need to learn manners. Like I said before, I am eager to learn and I hope you are too! Please don't hesitate to come and meet me. I am about months old and weigh pounds.
