"Banner is a [spayed]female 1 year old [39 lb]Cattle Dog/pit bull/McNab mix according to DNA test. She’s available for adoption through Oregon Dog Rescue here in the Portland, OR area.
I’ve had her a couple weeks and am so surprised she hasn’t been scooped up! She’s got so many wonderful qualities:
-potty trained
 -crate trained
 -walks nicely on a leash
 -friendly with people
 -rides nicely in the car
-friendly with dogs, does like to play
-affectionate, loves pets & gives kisses
-quick to pick up on training & wants to please

At my house she’s met dogs of all sizes and really wants to play. She’s learning what to do when my bossy Shepherds tell her to bug off. That’s a work in progress but Banner 100% just wants to keep playing and will offer appeasement behavior if they get stiff. She’s never caused a problem and I’ve included several videos of her interacting with my dogs.
She is energetic but does well with one walk a day and some play time to get the zoomies out. She calms down at night really well and settles on a dog bed or in the expen. During the day she hangs out with me in my office and is really good at self entertaining with her toys.
I’ve taken her several places and she’s always happy, ready to meet people and have a good time.
Banner is so sweet, I really want to help her find a home for the holidays. She has a heart of gold and I truly believe the only reason she’s still up for adoption is just the rough state of rescue overall right now.
I’ve included captions on all the pics & videos so you can see her personality shine.
I’m happy to offer free lessons to help keep up her good leash manners, continue all the progress she’s made learning a recall and making the transition to a new home as smooth as possible.
Please make an appointment to see her by going to Oregon Dog Rescue’s website. I’m also happy to answer any questions!"
====================================================
My name is Banner and I am a 1 year old Female Cattle Dog-Pit Bull type mix! I weigh 39 pounds. I was a stray in California so nobody really knows what mix I am. I am an outgoing dog who will need daily mental and physical exercise to be the best dog I can be. I like other dogs but my style of play is a bit too much for most dogs smaller than me. I would love to be your hiking/running buddy!
No apartments for me please! My foster family has been teaching me SO much and they think I am amazing! They even did my DNA test: I am Cattle Dog/Pit Bull/McNab--so basically I will be the smartest kid in school!
My adoption fee is $150

We have Moved! As of March 2024 we are currently located at 6100 S Macadam Ave, Portland 97239. To make an appointment, please visit Oregondogrescue.org.
