"SNOW" GREAT 5 mth old PUPPY!! Aussie mix plus- OREGON HUMANE SOCIETY

 UPDATE 7/6/24 ADOPTED

JULY 5, 2024 NOW on ADOPTION at Oregon Humane Society!

Please visit Snow!

https://www.oregonhumane.org/adopt/details/304076/

Amazing 5 month old Puppy! and very much still a puppy (puppy- proof your home and be prepared to monitor her), but it is already evident she can be an amazing adult MUCH CUTER in person, and she will blossom into a gorgeous adult dog. Guess is, she will be maybe 50 lbs fully grown?  She is already physically proportionate, and not very tall for 5 months old.

Anyone who fosters dogs hopes for the best placement for the dogs, and Snow is one that I know could shine and grow into a fabulous adult in a smart caring home.  Really hoping that the OHS staff and volunteers fall in love with her and find Snow a Great homewhere she is loved and especially appreciated.

Everyone who sees Snow on her walks always smiles. Snow  has soft shiny smooth fur which feels nice to pet and she is has been good about handling.  So smart and learns quickly(learned "down" as in"lie down" in about 15 minutes of working with this.) Fun, sensitive, LOVABLE, affectionate, self-entertaining,  listens well, mischievous- a puppy who is always finding something new to discover, social.

She would love a compatible (but NOT a strong drive dog- that would make her too hyper) to be a companion and it will make your life easier for Snow to have a canine companion(s) The adult dogs in her foster home really loved Snow and found her charming, in spite of all her puppy ways

Snow would do best in home that can provide a calm space where she isn't overwhelmed by too many daily changes ( so she doesn't get hyper,)  but who can also be tolerant of puppy-ways (she still gets into things and needs to be monitored )and gives her attention, mention games and exercise and continued training.

LOVES/needs all her toys/ chew toys )(needs a big variety ) so she can go to the toy/chew toy pile select something and run around and play or settle down and chew. She is the perfect mix of about 17 different dogs - but YES, Aussie and other herding dogs are a big part of it (also Husky, Malamute, Samoyed, Chow, Pitmix, Chi, Boxer, Doxie, Mini-Aussie!)  She is a wonderful blend for the perfect pet!

"GOLDILOCKS" IN FOSTER - apricot Poodle- has stranger danger

UPDATE 7/4/24 ADOPTED or on hold

"GOLDILOCKS"  is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Date found: Friday, June 21, 2024
Location found: burside/division
How did we get this animal: Officer Pickup
Adoption cost: $160
License fee: $27.00 (Multnomah County residents only)

Animal ID: 299673  female 2 yr 2 mths 17 lbs

https://www.multcopets.org/adoptable/29967

in foster

Goldilocks is a real love bug. She likes to snuggle and give hugs. She will be watching out the window for your return home and though you might find she's stolen your shoe while you were gone, you won't find any teeth marks. Goldilocks is a sensitive dog who would appreciate a small to medium size dog friend who can teach her how to play with toys and how to be a dog. Goldilocks has lived with a 16yr old Bichon (with medical issues) at her foster's house and has been very respectful of giving space. Sharing both water and food dishes with the Foster's dog. The foster has a pet door and Goldilocks understood right away how to use it. She hasn't had any accidents in the house since her minor tummy issues cleared up, appreciates a good nap, sleeps well at night on her Foster's bed and sometimes steals a pillow for her own use. Goldilocks is looking for a loving home with older children who don't play rough, preferably with an owner home all-day while getting acclimated and trained a bit. Most likely, she'd be okay with cats. Goldilocks hasn't shown signs of barking much, except for a single bark alert when seeing a stranger come close. She walks well on leash, but will need slow introductions to any strangers. Not food aggressive and not touch sensitive. Because of her stranger danger fear, she'll need to be slowly trained that strangers (human & animal) aren't all bad. When Goldilocks was found she was covered in painful hair mats (ears, legs, back end). When you touched the mats, Goldilocks would gently pull your hand away with her mouth because they were so painful. So, please be aware of the added cost of owning a dog breed that requires professional grooming every two to three months. Whoever adopts Goldilocks is getting a very trainable dog that is desperate to please her owner. Though sensitive to noise and new situations, consistent training can help her further relax and become your best friend.

"BOGEY" unique coloring

 UPDATE 7/2/24 ADOPTED

"BOGEY"   is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!
MCAS hours/ Location

Date found: Wednesday, April 24, 2024
Location found: 141st/sandy
How did we get this animal: Officer Pickup
Adoption cost: $160
License fee: $27.00 (Multnomah County residents only)

Animal ID #316772  male 1 yr 7 yrs 67 lbs

Bogey is a young, energetic Pit Bull eager to find his forever home. This lovable guy can be a bit nervous and hesitant in new situations and wary around new people, but with patience and understanding, he quickly warms up and shows his true, affectionate self. Bogey is currently working on his manners and can be a bit jumpy and mouthy, so he would do best in a home with kids aged 12 and up who can understand and help with his training. His love for treats makes him highly motivated and an excellent candidate for positive reinforcement training, which will be key to helping him become the best version of himself. In the shelter, Bogey has done well in playgroups with certain dogs, although he can be selective about his canine companions. Proper introductions are essential to ensure a harmonious match. His play style with other dogs is rough and rowdy, so a similarly spirited playmate would be ideal. If you're ready to offer Bogey a loving home with plenty of guidance, patience, and playtime, he promises to bring endless joy and loyalty into your life. Let's help Bogey find the loving family he deserves! 🐢❤️
