Happy Adoption: Clarence

"Clarence turns 5. He is the lucky one. Alan gives him a walk at thousand acres 5 days a week. And I get him out once on the weekend. He loves other dogs and his environment. He was a great find! Thank you for keeping him for us."

I'm Clarence, a tall leggy blonde with fur as soft as a baby blanket and a smile that lights up the room. I love to play fetch and to explore. I am a sensitive soul. Just because I'm big does not mean I don't get scared. Be gentle with me! I'll be honest with you - my kennel presentation could use some work. I startle at the sight of strange men, which causes me to jump up high and bark and try to look bigger and badder than I am. Ask to meet me outside my kennel where I have more room and things go much better. My leash skills are stellar. Volunteers love walking me. Not to brag, but I hear I'm "a dream." I want nothing more than to be your relaxed and easy-going companion. I'm looking for an adult-only home with no other critters. I have some other adoption requirements, which the shelter will review with you during the interview process. I am 4 years old, and I weigh 92 lbs. If you would give me a chance and a calm, loving home to share with you, I just know that we can have a great time together.

"Clarence is such a good boy. Gets so excited when I take him for a walk but is so great on the leash. Love those kisses he is giving me" Janice T
