With the right training, Roxy will become an obedient and well-mannered companion. Being a high-energy breed, Roxy needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy and healthy. Hi there! I'm Teddy, an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd 💙 I'm a whirlwind of energy with a constantly wagging tail, and I'm searching for my perfect match: an active family who can keep up with my adventurous spirit. Being a young Aussie, I have energy to burn, and it's important for my well-being that I get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation every single day. Think long hikes, exhilarating runs, endless games of fetch - you name it, I'm there! If you're a couch potato,🥔 I'm definitely not the dog for you. But if you're looking for a partner for your active lifestyle, we might be a match made in heaven! I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience and a few kind words, I'll warm up quickly and become your new shadow. 💕 I'm also super smart and eager to please, so I'd love to learn some cool tricks and participate in activities like agility, flyball, or scent work. A fenced-in yard would be the icing on the cake so I can run and play to my heart's content. Don't forget the puzzle toys and interactive games to keep my mind engaged! 🥎 I also form strong bonds with my people, so I'll need a family who understands that I might have a little separation anxiety at first, and maybe someone who doesn't work the typical 9-5! 🥰 If you're looking for an energetic, loving companion to join you on all of life's adventures, look no further! But seriously, if you're not ready for a dog who needs lots of activity, that's okay! It's just important that we're the right fit for each other. 🤝

Hi there, I'm Bowie! 💖 I'm a 11-month-old Labrador with a zest for life that's as bright as my smile. I'm a bundle of energy who loves to play fetch, chase squirrels, and explore the world around me. I can be a bit jumpy and mouthy when I'm excited, but I'm learning to channel my energy in more positive ways. Puzzle feeders, Kongs filled with treats, and plenty of playtime with my favorite toys help me settle down and focus! I'm the kind of guy who looooves to keep my people nearby, so I have a hard time letting them leave for the day (because who wants play time to stop??) - I'd thrive in a home that's not a rental since I have a loud voice (and will use it to communicate), and a home that is ready to teach me that time away doesn't mean the play stops - it just means the fun has just begun! Frozen slow feeders and kennel training could do me a world of good! I'm a quick learner and already know how to sit and shake (especially when there are treats involved!). I'm looking for an active family who can keep up with my puppy energy and provide me with the daily mental and physical stimulation I need to thrive. With a little patience, training, and lots of love, I'll be the perfect companion for your next adventure. If you're ready for a fun-loving, food-motivated furry friend who will bring endless joy and laughter to your life (and don't mind a little puppy exuberance), come meet me today!

Hi there, my name is Margo, and I'm a 6-year-old Lab mix looking for a special kind of home. Life at the shelter is a bit overwhelming for me, and I'm hoping to find a quiet and loving place where I can truly relax. I'm a sensitive girl, and loud noises and busy environments tend to stress me out. What I really crave is a peaceful routine, gentle walks, and lots of cozy cuddles. Like many dogs my age, I could use some dental care. My adopters should be prepared to schedule an appointment with their vet to make sure my teeth are in tip-top shape. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will appreciate your patience and understanding, please consider giving me a chance. I promise to repay your kindness with endless love and devotion.

"PAX" STUMPTOWN STRAYS RESCUE - teenage (Boxer?) MIX - from shy/scared to Social Butterfuly

"PAX" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Pax, our 48 pound 2 year old (boxer?) mix, is really fun. So fun, his foster family thought he’d enjoy watching some stand-up. Turns out, Pax is the kinda guy that mostly enjoys his own jokes. Other people’s jokes? Yawn. Besides being a terrible audience member, Pax is nearly perfect. And now he’s ready to yuck it up in his own home.

Pax was found stray and was an immediate favorite at the shelter. He quickly befriended the other dogs and was cuddly and sweet to the people he met. Unfortunately, Pax developed a bad case of pneumonia and so we were asked to help. After weeks of rest and antibiotics (and a neuter), Pax is back to himself. And that self is pretty delightful.
Friendly to everyone, Pax loves people and other dogs. He’s happy to see dogs both on and off leash and is a hit at the park. We haven’t seen Pax around cats but he’s mostly curious about rabbits, so a dog-savvy cat may work. Kids over 8 would be okay in Pax’s home as well.
Pax loves a good hang. He’s happy to run, hike or just walk and then watch the sunset. Pax is potty trained and very good in his crate. If left alone, Pax may aerate shoes or turn jeans into cutoffs, so a crate or baby gate is kinda essential. Pax would love an active adopter (who won’t subject him to improve comedy).
Pax is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $300
Are you trying your hand at stand-up and you’d like some very very constructive criticism? Or perhaps you’d be happy just to laugh along with Pax at his own comedy. Either way, apply to adopt on our website. https://www.stumptownstrays.org/adoption-application

Pax: From Shy Guy to Social Butterfly! Hi there, I'm Pax, and I'm ready to find my forever home! I'll be honest, the shelter was a bit overwhelming at first. All the new faces and noises made me a little nervous, but I'm slowly starting to come out of my shell. Once I get to know you, you'll see how friendly and playful I really am! I did great in doggy playgroups and made lots of furry friends. I'm hoping to find a family who will be patient with me as I adjust to my new surroundings. With a little love and understanding, I know I'll blossom into the best companion you could ask for! If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who's ready to give you all his love, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, I'm worth the wait! ❤️
