"ELSA" AVAILABLE FOR Adoption at Oregon Humane Society  in Portland

ELSA Available 7/19/2025  #331716  $500 ($250 7/20/25)

spayed female, 6 mth  39lbs "Looks  like" Doberman

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I came all the way to OHS through the Second Chance Program.
  • Give me a little time to adjust and I will show you I am the biggest sweetheart.
  • Playing really helps me come out my shell and it's a great way for us to bond. Squeaky toys are my favorite!
  • Mental enrichment activities are a great way to entertain me and work my brain.
  • I am not for the first time dog owner. Someone very familiar with canine body language is a must for me.
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
  • I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I'm looking for a patient and understanding family who can give me the love and stability I need to truly blossom.
  • I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.
  • Loud noises and unpredictable movements can make me uncomfortable, I would do best in a home with calm, older children.
