MCAS
needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting
intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current
homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for
animal control are ensuring that the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to
adoption. Management
is failing the animals and the community.possible Solution?
- lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified
Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe
spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals
are spay/neutered before they go to new homes. More
veterinarians would be willing to help, if they were given more
autonomy, and if they could work away from the animal shelter.

Hey there, say hello to Allura! 👋 This young Boxer and Pit Bull mix is a
true delight, brimming with gentle energy and a sweet, playful spirit.
Allura is an affectionate dog who is looking for an experienced owner to
help her thrive. 🥰
Allura would love a home that provides her with consistent daily
exercise 🏃♀️ and plenty of mental enrichment, like puzzle toys or
training sessions to keep her smart mind busy. 🧠 Due to her on-leash
frustration around other animals, she will thrive in a home where she
can be the only pet. If you have small animals in the home, Allura will
need slow, careful introductions using barriers to ensure everyone feels
safe. 🐰🐢
If you're searching for a devoted and fun-loving companion to bring
light into your life, come meet Allura today! ✨ She can't wait to meet
you. ❤️
