MCAS
needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting
intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current
homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for
animal control are ensuring that the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to
adoption. Management
is failing the animals and the community.possible Solution?
- lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified
Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe
spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals
are spay/neutered before they go to new homes. More
veterinarians would be willing to help, if they were given more
autonomy, and if they could work away from the animal shelter.

Looking for a loyal and loving best friend? Meet our darling, Zola!
This sweet girl is about a year and a half old and is a bit of a
wallflower at first. She takes her time to get to know you, but once
she's comfortable, her gentle, affectionate side shines through.
Zola is a sensitive soul who dreams of a calm and patient family to help
her come out of her shell. She would do best in a quiet home where she
can take her time and build trust at her own pace. If you have a soft
spot for shy dogs and a heart full of love, Zola might just be the
perfect addition to your family. Come and meet her today!💖
