MCAS
needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting
intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current
homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for
animal control are ensuring that the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to
adoption. Management
is failing the animals and the community....Possible Solution?
- lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified
Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe
spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals
are spay/neutered before they go to new homes. More
veterinarians could be recruited if given a competitive wage and more
autonomy

Hi, my name is Mocha! I'm a 4-month-old German Shepherd Rottweiler puppy
with a sweet, dark coat just like a cup of my namesake. I'm smart and
eager to learn, and I can't wait to find a family who will guide me
through life.
I have a lifetime of love to give, but I'll need a family who is ready
to commit to a lifetime of training, exercise, and socialization. I'm
looking for a home that understands the importance of positive
reinforcement and consistent guidance to help me grow into the best dog I
can be. I'll thrive with an active family who loves to play and
explore, and a yard to call my own would be a dream come true! If you're
ready to make a lifelong commitment to a big, loving pup, I'm the one
for you!
