"PEEK-A-BOO" smart Playful young "mutt"

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Peek-a boo, female mystery mix, 1 yr 42 lbs

Peke-A-Boo, I see you! Oh wait, that's my name. I am an active and exuberant girl about 1 year old and I weigh around 42lbs. I am looking for a family who does not take life too seriously and that will be patient, positive and lift me to my potential of being a perfect pup! If there are kids in my new home, they should be at least 8 years old, quiet and gentle because I can sensitive about handling. Here at the shelter, I've been afraid of some of the rowdy dogs that bark at me when walking down the aisle, so the shelter thinks if there is another dog at home, it would be best if that was a mellow adult dog.

Hi there! My name is Yara, a 4 year old Mastiff mix. I am a very special lady, looking for a very special home. Were you wondering where my name came from? It means "little butterfly". I was very scared when I first came into the shelter, but with the help of staff and volunteers I have learned that people and things are not that scary - especially if they treats! I bond hard with my people, and sometimes that makes me guard them from strangers so I need a family that understands that and will work with me constantly on creating positive experiences and that uses positive reinforcement training methods with me. I also have shown that I have a bit of a fear of men.
When I warm up to you, I am a very playful girl that LOVES going on walks (sometimes I like to run too, do you think you can keep up with me?), plays tug-o-war like a champ, and is the BIGGEST cuddle bug you ever did see. My new family will be adult only, and I need a quiet household without a lot of traffic. Any canine pals already in the home will need to come in to meet me, but I would prefer to be the only animal in the home.
I AM IN A DIFFERENT PART OF THE SHELTER - ASK A STAFF MEMBER OR VOLUNTEER HOW TO MEET ME TODAY!

"ROSE" fabulous MinPin Mix puppy- a little bit Special Needs - Family Dogs New Life Shelter

Love this silly little puppy!!!
Rose has many fans who are hoping she gets an amazing new home to love and nourish her.

Available for Adoption at Family Dogs New Life Shelter

ROSE

Miniature Pinscher + Boston Terrier Mix

16 weeks old
Female
5 pounds
Can I be your little rosebud? It’s pretty lonely without a family to call my own…and at such a young age. Oh, woe is me…. I’m friendly as could be: I love people, children, other dogs, and kitties, too. I do have a very sensitive stomach so I will need a special diet and someone who offer me plenty of TLC. Oh, who is going to take me on walks? Who is going to teach me all the wonderful stuff a girl needs to learn? Who is going to give me kisses and a forever home? Who, I ask, who?

I'm Margot a sweet older Doberman lady looking for a new home to call my own! Looking for a gentle girl who enjoys affection and being as close to her favorite people as possible? Look no further! I love back scritches and playing gently with a soft toy. Sometimes when I get excited I can be a little nibbly, so I need a home where any kids are 5 years or older. Take me home and lets curl up on the couch today!

"ROXY" quiet well-mannered grey brindle

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Roxy,  female Pitbull, 8 yrs 52 lbs

I am Roxie, the dog who is always ready to be petted and go exploring.marathon. There is nothing I would love more than a cozy, warm bed and walks with some good company. We can discuss our favorite foods while you give me pets and attention. I promise to provide you with lots of love and friendship if you save me a spot on the couch - or at least on the floor next to you! I am about 8 years old and weigh around 52lbs. If there are kids in my new home, they should be at least 8 years old because I have some handling sensitivities, but don't count me out because that doesn't mean I'm not a sweet girl, just need people who will give me a little time to get to know them first.

"GONZO" VIDEO goofy Shar Pei (lab?) mix

Gonzo sometimes shows barrier reactivity when in the kennels, but he is a goofy playful guy when outside of the shelter.

I am Gonzo, a fun loving and energetic Chinese Sharpei mix. Dogs like me love to get out and play but are not always sure what to do with our mouths. I can tend to get so excited I jump for the first thing I see, and the game is on! My ideal family will be active, patient and use positive training methods to help me become a more refined pup. I think working with a trainer would be a fun way for us to bond and learn together. I am eager to learn and can't wait to show you how smart I am! If you have kids in the home, they will need to be over the age of 12 years due to my mouthy behaviors.

"STEVEN" handsome Black German Shepherd mix

Steven is very nervous being in the kennels, and is much happier when he is outside of them. He is in a quieter area, so please ask to meet him! Would love a shepherd loving home!

Hi there, I'm Steven A 2 year old German Shepherd mix. I am a little wary of new people, so I ask new introductions to be taken slow, and with treats! I am very food motivated, and would love a job to do in my new home. I am not going to be the most cuddly dog, but I do like the occasional butt scratch here and there. I need to go home with kids 12 and up due to my handling sensitivity and some mild resource guarding with my food. Ask to meet me today.
I am in a more quiet area of the shelter, ask a volunteer or staff to meet me!

I'm Irene, a gorgeous pitbull mix lady searching for a new home! If you are looking for a loving, silly girl to fill your life with happiness - look no further. I'm still learning a lot about the world, but I'm excited to meet new people and try new things. I'd love a home that will help me become more confident! Want to go explore your neighborhood? Great! I'm energetic and young and would love an active home. I can be selective with my canine friends and don't like to share my things in the home with them. I will need to be your one and only. I can have doggie friends, but I just don't want to live with them.

"TIMBER" guinea pig

I'm Timber, a social and super handsome Guinea pig. I love my greens and will ask for them by name, just kidding but I can make quite the squeek! My previous owners didn't really have time for me so I think being picked up is weird and it worries me a little but in your gentle hands, I am relaxed and love to have the backs of my ears gently rubbed while I munch on something yummy. We cavies usually do best in pairs but the right introduction is always key. Come meet me today if you are looking for a fun furry and interactive new family member, just look for the little guy winking at you.

'LINK" american shelter dog mix puppy - Labby/pitmix type?

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Link male american shelter dog mix Puppy, 4 mths, 30 lbs and growing

here's my Mcas weblink
177955
Hi, I'm Link! A 4 month old American Shelter Dog mix fella. The shelter doesn't quite know my breed, I might have some Pit Bull or Lab in me, but the one thing they do know is I'm full of love and FUN! I am looking for a family that is ready to take on all that a rough and rowdy puppy may bring. I use my mouth, jump, and might have accidents in the house, but am a fast learner! I have been in puppy playgroup here at the shelter, and am a little rude with my playstyle so any dogs in the home should be able to handle that.

"ENDORA" wild child Siamese mix

Andora has been at the shelter for quite a while, waiting for the right home to adopt her. A very pretty, fun, and feisty kitty!

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Endora, female siamese mix, 2 yrs 8 mths, 7 lbs

I'm a young and VERY active and busy Siamese mix who is looking for a cat-experienced family to take me home. I love to play and explore and keep tabs on my people. I'm not much of a lap-cat - I like to check in with you and see what you're doing, get a few pets then go on to the next item of business. However, I looove to nap on or by your head (especially when we nap together!). I get amped up pretty easily, especially if I don't have enough to keep me busy or get enough play time every day. I give love bites, and will often paw and bat at people in play, but if I get too amped up or upset I will bite and swat harder. Thus I cannot live in small or busy households, nor with children under 14-years. A calmer, lower-traffic home is what I need. I don't mind other adult cats if they let me call the shots, but I really love kittens and would do great with a youngster. If you think we'd be a good match, and would like to meet me, come to the shelter and ask to meet Endora in the Feline Care Specialist's office. Or you can email animalcare@multco.us for more information.

Endora - opening Pandora's box perhaps?
thanks Karen for the pic!
