ADOPTED!
Feb 13, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 565779

Hello, my name is Jace! I am a handsome young man that has found himself searching for a new family. My adopters should have no children under 10, be patient, and interested in using positive training methods only, to boost my confidence and help me transition into a new home. My previous family said that I enjoy playing with other dogs, I lived with a kitty, and am a sensitive boy who can be shy with strangers but treats win me over. Please come down and meet me. I am 3 years old and weigh 73 pounds

"VAL" active young Lab mix

ADOPTED!
Feb11, 2015

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 575164

My name is Val. I am looking for a fetch-centric home for all fetch-centric needs! I am an active young girl who needs plenty of physical play time, whether that be on long walks and hikes, or playing ball in the back yard. I like meeting new people and have never met someone I did not like. If there are young kids in the home, my new owners should be aware that I have not grown out of some puppy-like behaviors, so I can still be very rough and rowdy when it comes to playing. Cats are too fun to chase, so the shelter is requiring I go to a feline-free home. I am 2 years old and weigh 58 pounds.

"SWEENY" - this Beagle boy would love a canine buddy!

ADOPTED!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 574149

My name is Sweeny and I'm a 10 year old male Beagle. I came here with my pal Razzle who has since been adopted. We followed our noses and it got us here. Now I'm looking for a home to call my own. I'm a true Beagle, in other words when the nose is in operation, the ears don't so well. That means I might be so intent on chasing down an interesting smell that I won't hear you calling me. I would love a home with a fenced yard and someone to take me on walks. I would probably do best in a home with another canine friend or an owner who can be with me a lot. I bond very closely to one person and tend to get anxious when we are apart. I have been overly interested in the small animals in the shelter and would probably do a best in a home without them. I have been reported to already be housetrained and crate trained. Ask about me today!

never late for dinner :)

"SHERMAN" Pitmix - active, sweet and a calm side too!

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574624

The shelter is calling me Sherman, well because I kind of am. I'm about 4 years old and weigh in a 61lbs. I kind of like to have a few minutes to connect with people then I can get into being petted. ps…food helps. I know sit and down and I like tummy rubs. I'm a leaner and a jumper so the shelter is recommending kids 6 & up because I might be too much for younger kids. I'm looking for an active home that will continue my obedience education

Washington Co Animal Shelter (Bonnie L Hays)

1901 SE 24th Ave MS 53
Hillsboro, OR 97123
503-846-7041

here's the info you need to read from the shelter: If this dog is appropriate for a home with children, you must bring children aged 12 and under to the shelter with you for the adoption process. Not all dogs and children are a perfect match, so we want to make sure that the dog you select is a family-friendly dog.
If you have one or more existing dogs in your home, we require a "meet and greet" between your dogs and the adoptive dog at our shelter. Please plan to bring your dog(s) with you before the adoption can be finalized so we can be sure that the dogs and the humans all agree this dog will be the perfect match for your family!

"RITA MAE" sensitive sweetie little brindle pitbull

ADOPTED!
Feb 6, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 574427

Hey everybody! My name is Rita Mae and I am looking for a new home! I am a very social girl that loves people. Although I have this tough looking exterior, I am a real sweetie through and through. I am looking for a family that continue my obedience training with reward based classes. I am getting used to the harness and it's working really well for my leash walking skills. The shelter is asking that I go to a home without any other animals. There is a possibility that I could tolerate meeting other dogs with good training and management, but for now I prefer to be the only spoiled brat in the house. I am about 3 years old and weigh 50 pounds. Please come and meet me today!

"MARLOW - handsome active Pitmix

ADOPTED!
Feb 7, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal # 574008

Hey everybody! My name is Marlow and I'm looking for a confident owner that has the time, patience, and activity level to keep up with me. I am a very active boy that thrives on keeping in shape and going for long hikes. My previous owner used to take me backpacking and I had my very own pack to carry! Isn't that awesome? The shelter is HIGHLY recommending that we take reward based classes together to get my manners under control. Children in the home need to be over the age of 10 years because I like to jump up in your face hard and can easily knock the little ones over. I can be tolerant of respectful dogs, so a dog meet and greet here at the shelter would be great! I hope you aren't a cat fan either, cause they are just a bit too interesting for me and cannot be in the same home. I know this sounds like a lot to deal with, but I promise that I will make you a best friend for life as long as you keep the tennis balls coming! Please come and meet me today! I am about 3 years old and weigh 62 pounds.

ADOPTED!
Feb 2, 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (adoption pending 2/2)
animal # 574710

Kira is the name, and adventure is the game! I am the type of dog who is ready at any moment's notice to load up and go explore the beautiful wilderness of Oregon. A walk around the block just won't do it for me! I don't have much in the way of training at this point, but I am a curious and friendly dog, so that is a good start for us as we venture into training me to be a good canine citizen! Any questions, stop by the shelter and say hello. I am 1.5 years old and weigh 45 pounds.

When I'm not on sniffing duty I am a delightful and friendly little fellow who would probably love to sit in your lap. I'm about 8 years old and weigh 8.6lbs. Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink

My name is Garvey. I am a wonderful older man who is looking for a great new place to live out my golden years! My shelter friends say that it takes me a bit of time to get comfortable, but once I do I am your best friend. I am looking for a lap to call my own and a place for regular walks so I can slim down a bit. I have been very friendly with same-sized dogs here, and could benefit from having a companion in my home. Due to handling issues, the shelter is requiring that I go to a home with kids 13 years old or older. I am 7 years old and weigh 13 pounds

I have a charming smile :)

Unfortunately my owner could not care for me any longer and I have ended up here at the shelter in search of a new family. I am a very social guy that loves people. I am housetrained, LOVE toys, and LOVE swimming. I will make a great companion for someone special! My new family will need to be prepared for the possibility of a special long term diet and regular vet visits. I'm a little high maintenance, but have the personality to make  it up. "LEE" pitbull mix

ADOPTED!!!
Feb 3, 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my MCAS weblink
animal # 573349

Hi, I'm Lee. I'm a big, handsome guy with a LOT OF LOVE to give to the right home! The shelter recommends no other dogs or cats in the home. I will require training in order to bond with you and to get us speaking "the same language." I have dry eye, which the shelter vet staff can tell you about. In the shelter, I have been very responsive to training using treats and positive techniques and can now walk nicely on a gentle leader. Adopters will need previous dog experience and a willingness to work with a trainer, but I'm worth it! I am about 5 years old and weigh 80 pounds.
