"BUMBLE Great Pyrennes

Apr 2017
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink (4/27 adoption pending)
animal id # 590664

My name is Bumble. I am 1 year old and I weigh 100 pounds. I am a big, playful guy who still may have something to learn about being a resident family dog, as I was found as a stray and not much is known about my in-home history. I have enjoyed meeting new people around the shelter. I would love a home that will give me a good amount of space to move around and also time for play/exercise time! I can be very strong on leash so my new family should work with me on harness training. Come on down and see me at the shelter today!

"BOBBY JO" incredible dog with GORGEOUS coloring!

Bobby Jo sometimes hangs out in the front office, calmly laying on a dog bed. She is a lovely and lovable dog with the most unusual gorgeous 2 toned bronze? coloring - darker on her back and paws and nose, and smooth and shiny like a seal!  Bobby Jo was well loved and cared for in her previous home, but unfortunately due to her natural prey drive, and circumstances...they had to give her up. They would love to know that she is going to be  adopted to a home where she is just as appreciated.

Hi there! My name is Bobbie Jo and I'm looking for a special home. I am a very sweet and gentle girl that loves socializing. I am also a sensitive girl at times and would like a quiet, calm home to relax in. I can get scared easily of loud voices and vacuums. I'm really a big chicken. I am housetrained and know how to sit, shake, down, stay, and come. I have been to professional training classes and am a very smart lady. I will need to be the only animal in your home and kids need to be over the age of 8 years as I can get nervous around toddlers. If you want to meet the girl of your dreams, come and meet me today! I do have some special requirements for my new home and would like to set my new family up for success. So once you decided I may be the right fit for your household our Canine Care Specialist would like to meet with you to and answer any questions you may have. I am about 6 years old and weigh 80 pounds

Here's my Massage video!

thanks ResQ Animal Massage for my cute pic and my massage

"ROOGER" big soft sensitive Hound/lab mix

Apr 2017
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

 here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 583926

Hi there my name is Rooger, thank you for taking the time to seek me out. I am a shy guy in a big body, it takes me some time to warm up to new people and new environments. However, once I start to feel comfortable I am a pretty relaxed care free guy. I enjoy playing with the tennis ball, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses. Of course, not on the first date though! Some things that you should know about me, I will probably need several visit with you until I am comfortable going home with you. I would prefer not to have to compete for your attention so if I could be the only pet, that would be greatly appreciated. Loud noises and unpredictable behavior startles me so best to be in a household with children 15 and up. Due to my special needs I would prefer that you have had experience with dogs already; this way you can help me grow and become comfortable in new situations. If you would like to see me I am located in a different part of the building so please contact our client services at the desk at the front entrance. I have already given them the memo that you will be asking about me so they are expecting you. I am about 2 years old and weigh 70 pounds

here's Rooger, hiding Mcas volunteer Stephanie, when we first started taking pics.
We took it easy, and allowed him  plenty of time and space ( and treats) and Rooger gradually relaxed - which was quite a step for such an insecure guy. He is really a sweetie, who probably lost out on needed socialization when he was a pup, and now needs a special patient home to succeed. Going back into the shelter where he could hear the dogs barking was scary for him.
Hope he gets his new home soon where he can live a long happy life.

Mcas weblink  (11/4 potential adopter)

Ruger here! I'm a handsome Rottweiler mix looking for my new home. I am a sweet guy who enjoys getting attention and love. I'm also smart and already know "sit" "down" and "shake" and I bet you can teach me even more. If you get out a ball I'll play fetch and drop the ball on command! I have been known to guard my food however, so I would need a home without another dog or any children. If you are looking for a fun dog to share your home with, ask more about me!

"GEORGE" CATTLE Dog lovers! confident sociable guy

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

 here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 588681

George here! I'm a handsome Cattle Dog fella searching for my new home. I can be particular about who I share my home with and I would need to be in an adult only home with no other animals. But I'm a really sweet guy, and together I think we could have a blast playing tons of fetch and bonding over some manners training! Did I mention that I could use some manners training? I can be a bit stubborn but with some positive, reward-based training I can learn to be a great canine citizen. If you think you've got the right home for me, come say hi and let's get to know each other better! I'm about 6 years old and weigh 58 lbs.

I know how to sit and shake too! The shelter is recommending that kids in the home be 8 years old or over as I can get a little grabby when I get overexcited. "TREYA" UPDATE very ACTIVE small Cocker mix - westside

Treya is a great dog, but she can also be a brat at times, and this has made it difficult to find a good placement for her where she can shine. Treya is seriously cute and energetic and if you're committed to training and exercise (...not just for a few weeks...)ideally don't have another dog, but can continue to socialize her with dogs, and are an adult home, Treya is well worth meeting!

Available for Adoption with Indigo Rescue!!
Treya is living in a foster home
here is Treya's petfinder weblink

Treya is an adorable one year old Cocker Spaniel mix. She is VERY high energy. VERY busy, and she loves playing fetch, and she loves playing with other dogs - but not at the same time. She has some pretty extreme resource guarding issues with other dogs. Treya should ideally be in a home where she is the only dog and gets to visit the dog park on a regular basis, or with a larger, calm adult dog in order to continue working on her social skills. Training is much easier when a high energy dog is worn out and they get that way easiest by playing with another dog.

Treya has an issue with sharing toys, so she can only be with another dog if there are no toys available. She will make a great companion for someone who is committed to training and exercise. She is not a good choice for a home with small kids, but possibly teenagers. Inquire within about this cutie

I love to fetch too!

Adoption Process: We are not first come first served. Indigo Rescue focuses on finding good matches between dogs and families to ensure life long adoptions. We deliver all dogs to their new homes. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have a few of our dogs available for meets at the Tanasbourne Petco on Thursdays from 4-7pm and at PetSmart on 185th every other Sunday (Apr 23rd, May 7,  from noon until 3pm. Or, if you're interested in a particular dog, you can send an e-mail with answers to the questions below via the purple Contact this Organization button at the upper right of the pet's description. Just copy and paste the questions into your email to respond. If the dog seems compatible with your situation we'll set up a time for you to meet the dog.

"LELU" so polite and a lovely companion

Don't overlook this sweetie! Lelu is really a nice dog, and is not reactive in the kennels like many dogs can be when the stress gets to be too much for them...but Lelu has been living in the shelter, looking for a good home, for a long time and would much prefer a to be settled at your feet while you read this!

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Porter here's my Mcas weblink  (adoption pending 5/2)
animal id # 585629

Lelu here! I'm a sweet pitbull lady looking for my new home. I can be fearful in new places but once I warm up, I'm a really sweetheart. I love to be around my favorite people getting as much attention as I can soak up! I don't always get along with other dogs so I would do best as the only dog in my new home. I already know 'sit' and 'shake' and I bet with some positive, reward-based training we could learn lots more.  I would also do best in a home with kids 12 years and older. If you think we're a good match come say hi! I'm about 5 years old and weigh 65 lbs.

"DIAMOND" awesome little Pitbull

Awesome little Pitbull.  Very cute too
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 579194

Are you looking for a high energy girl that loves people? My name is Diamond and I am looking for a special home where I can be your one and only. This kennel life is very stressful for me and I can't wait to find a new family that can give me lots of exercise and playtime. I have lived with kids, am crate trained, and love going for walks. Apartment life would not suit me, as I have been known to bark when I'm left alone but I did well with a crate in my last home. I also need lots of room to exert my energy and keep my mind mentally stimulated. Reward based classes are recommended for me to help with my impulse control. My new home will require that there are no other animals. If you think we could make a great match and you are possibly looking for a running partner, please come and meet me today! I am about 4 years old and weigh 53 pounds.
Thanks ResQ Animal Massage for Diamond's massage video!

"MAX" MASTIFF Lovers! Max deserves a great retirement home not a kennel

Nice boy, please share with Mastiff lovers! Max almost had a new home recently and we were all so excited for him.... but the landlord turned it down. This sweet guy has been in the shelter for 3 months...waiting for you to meet him!
Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

animal # 582154
Mcas weblink

Meet Max, the handsome elder statesman looking for a place to live out his golden years. He is a large Mastiff mix gentleman who's sprinting days are far behind but would still love a stroll around the block/park then hang out on the couch for the rest of the day. Max has been at the shelter since 01/26/17 He weighs 91lbs, is between 7-8 years old, knows sit, shake, stay & down commands. He gets super silly with stuffy, squeaky toys and has also shown interest in playing with larger dogs but would prefer to be the only pet in an adult only home or a home with children over the age of 15. If he sounds like the dog for you, please come to the shelter and meet Max today!!!

"GLORIANA" Quit making faces Gloriana!

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 584333

Hi there! My name is Gloriana and I'm looking for a new family to love. I have been very shy here, but once I'm out of my kennel, boy do I light up! I am everything you could ask a Bulldog to be. Wiggly, bouncy, playful, sloppy kisser! I am looking for a home that can give me proper exercise and a loving heart. I'm not a fan of sharing my food though, so kids in the home are recommended to be over the age of 10 years. I should be an only pet. If you think we could make a fantastic team, come and meet me today! I am about 3 years old and weigh 60 pounds.
