My name is Dawson and I'm ready to be the life of your party! I am a very social boy that loves everybody I meet. I have lived with other dogs and kids before and would do well in the same type of home. I am young and still looking for someone to teach me my basic manners. I do already know how to sit and shake though! I am very eager to learn more. I did come to the shelter with an allergy and and will most likely need lifelong treatment for this. It is unknown if my allergies are caused from food or something in the environment. This will be an added expense to my care. I'm totally worth it though and am a great puppy! If you think we could make a great match, come and meet me today! I am about 5 months old and weigh 43 pounds.

" CHICKIDEE" sociable pitbull

animal # 117197
My name is Chickidee and I'm looking for a new home! I am an exuberant lady that loves people! I am working on my manners and will need a little work on jumping up when I get excited. I love to play with the tennis ball, so if you have some of those, we will make fast friends. I have shown some high interest in cats here at the shelter and will need a home without felines. As for doggy friends, I can be selective and am learning how to properly approach dogs on leash. Once off leash, I feel more secure, but can also be a bit bossy! I may do best in a home where I can get all of the attention to myself. If you want me to join you on the cuddle train though, come and meet me today! I am about 5 years old and weigh 62 pounds.

Hi everybody! My name is Casper and I'm looking for an active home. I love people and am very eager to learn. I already know how to sit, shake, and down. Though I am still working on my manners on jumping up when I get overexcited. The shelter is recommending that if you have kids in the home they should be over the age of 8 years due to my jumping up. It is unknown how I am with other animals, so if you have another canine in the home, we will need to meet before I go home. If you think we could make a great match, come down to the shelter and meet me today! I am about 2 years old and weigh 73 pounds.

My favorite hobby is exploring! I'm a curious, smart dog and I love to learn new things about the world around me. I would love to have a job to do or learn some new tricks to give my mind something to work on. I am shy and can be fearful of novel situations and unpredictable noises. I should be the only animal in the household so I can have all of your attention and should be in an adult only home.

Hi there, I'm a goofy pitbull/collie mix fella searching for a new home. I can be a bit shy at first, especially when something new is going over my head, but once we get a toy out and start playing I'm the biggest lovebug you'll find! I'm a very silly dog when playing and together we could have endless laughs and lots of fun adventures. I would like a patient home willing to let me learn that the world is not such a scary place. I have escaped from yards in the past so my new home would need to have a secure yard and be ready to manage these tendencies. Come say hi today! 1 1/2 yrs old

animal # 117217

My name is Remi and I'm searching for a special home! I am a high energy boy that needs someone to teach me impulse control and keep me both physically and mentally stimulated. I am not for the first time dog owner and do come with some quirks. I am very physical in play and can become obsessive about my ball. When I get overexcited, I have a tendency to jump up and mouth and have gotten into a little trouble with this. The shelter is highly recommending reward based private training classes to help me curb some of this energy. I am a very smart boy and am certainly eager to learn! My new home will need to be an ADULT ONLY home, due to my quirks and energy level. If you are looking for a project dog, come and meet me today! I am about 10 months old and weigh 53 pounds.

"JAXSON" awesome Husky/German Shepherd? mix

Fortunately for the animals and the clients, MCAS will take back their dog/cat adoptions when it doesn't work out in the new home. Many shelters do not do this.  It looks like Jaxson's next home will need to be feline free.

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

animal # 116555
Hi there! My name is Oscar and I'm looking for a relaxing home. I am a gentle guy that is pretty laid back, but still enjoy going for daily walks. I do have some medical issues, so please speak with your adoption counselor about my needs. I did get neutered and have a dental here at the shelter, which is helping me feel better. I was in pretty rough shape when I arrived here and spent some time in foster care gaining enough wait for me to have surgery. The shelter has determined that I should not live with other dogs and will need a home without any canine friends. If you're looking for someone to binge watch Netflix with, I'm your boy! Please come and meet me today! I am about 12 years old and weigh 45 pounds

Hey! You may have noticed my funny way of sitting!? No worries, it seems to just be more comfortable for me and not because of any issues. I get pretty excited when you give me attention and can be a pretty big goofball. I have had a rough past and am looking for a loving home that can provide a stable environment with secure containment. The shelter is recommending I be the only animal in my new home, and live with kids 6 and older. Please ask the lovely folks at the shelter about me today! 8 yrs 5 months old,  60lbs.

Sometimes I sit like this, but it doesn't bother me

My name is Rebecca and I'm looking for a special home. I have some neurological problems and will need someone who can specially care for me. It is unknown as to what caused this or if I was born with it, but I do have some trouble walking on my hinds legs and will drag the left one. It doesn't seem to be causing me any pain and I get around just fine. The other issue is that because I have some loss of feeling in my hind legs, I will dribble some urine. Please speak with your adoption counselor about my medical needs and what I need to be comfortable. My personality is fabulous and you really couldn't ask for a sweeter girl. I am about 7 years old and weigh a thin 7.7 pounds. I am in a different part of the shelter, so please as a shelter staff member to see me.

"CHAINA" lively pretty white Pitbull

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

mcas weblink
animal # 5123

Hey everybody! My name is Chaina and I'm looking for an active home that can keep up with my energy level. I am very active and physical and will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep me busy. I haven't really mastered any basic obedience skills, but I am eager to learn. Treats and toys are my biggest motivators and with lots of reward based training, I will make that special person proud. The biggest thing I'm working on here at the shelter is my leash skills. I have a problem of grabbing the leash and playing tug, which can make it frustrating to walk me. I also get really excited when I see my favorite people and will jump up to show you my appreciation of your company. For this reason my new home will need to have kids over 15 years old. It is unknown how I do with other dogs at this time. If you are looking for a new running partner and project dog, please come and see me today! I am about 1 year old and weigh 50 pounds.
