"LUTHER" ( aka Smokey) short Chunky and Charming

ADOPTED!
Jan 2017

 "Transferred" to Oregon Humane Society"
Luther  (aka Smokey)
Ohs id #198316

Did I catch your eye? I don’t blame you if you had to stop and stare, I am quite cute if I do say so myself. I love the attention and I don’t mind if you want to shower me with all your love, actually I would prefer it! My name is Luther and all I want to do is find a place to call my own. If you have been searching for an outgoing, furry companion that you want to spoil then look no further. I adore meeting new people and like to go new places. I can’t wait to see what the world has to offer me and if you want to join me in all my adventures then I would be an even happier canine than ever before! Luther came to OHS from Bonnie Hays Animal Shelter through our Second Chance Program.

SMOKEY a favorite local (Westside) Shelter dog!
TRANSFERRED!
Dec 23rd - Bonnie L Hays Facebook post:
"He's been here since September and there are only two days left to get adopted before Christmas (adoptions are open today and Saturday the 24th), so we wanted to give Smokey a little holiday cheer with this photo shoot. We love him and will care for him for as long as it takes, but it sure would be nice to see this guy go home for the holidays!"https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/37039506

I am very shy at first, and my hope is that a calm and patient new living arrangement will help me overcome this and come out of my shell. The shelter is recommending a home with kids older than 6 years old. I know that with some time I will become a wonderful new friend for you, so come out to meet me today! I am 1.5 years old and weigh 11 pounds.

"JACK JACK" nice mature Jack Russell mix loves Squeaky toys

ADOPTED!
Jan 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (1/9 pending adoption)
animal id  #583764

Jack Jack here! I'm your standard Jack Russell terrier mix and I'm looking for a new place to call home. I seem to have some hearing issues so I might not respond when you call to me but I'm still an active fella and I absolutely love going for walks! Because I'm an older fella, I would prefer to live in a quieter home where people won't be handling me excessively as I don't like people messing with me too much - and I am not a fan of being picked up. Because of those handling issues I would do best in a home with children 12 years and older. If you can respect my boundaries and are looking for a companion who will also respect yours, look no further! I am about 10 years old and weigh 15.8 lbs.

"CHEESEBURGER" lovable chubby cheek Pitbull

ADOPTED!
Jan 2017

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (1/3 possible adopter - Check back!)
animal id  # 583775

Hi there! My name is Cheeseburger and I'm a goofy pitbull mix in search of a new home. If you are looking to bring lots of love and laughter into your home come say hi to me. I love love love being around people and getting attention. In fact, I will sit right on your lap if I can find a way! I like to play but sometimes I can get a little mouthy - but my new home can work with me to teach me to play more politely. I know how to "sit" and enjoy treats so we can try to learn some new tricks together in the future! Because I'm a burly guy who can be mouthy and likes to play using my considerable strength, I would do best in a home with children 6 years old and up. I'm about 5 years old and weigh 68 lbs.

"MAGGIE" HAPPY NEW YEAR! Blue/brown eyed girl

ADOPTED!!!
Maggie waited 4 months at OHS for a new home!
Jan 2017

poster courtesy of an OHS volunteer

Available for Adoption at Oregon Humane Society!

Maggie really enjoys her massage
Maggie is a very worldly dog, as she has traveled all over the United States during her life, along with going to both Brazil and Israel. She has seen the sights and is now looking for somewhere to hang her hat permanently as she begins the next chapter of her life. Don’t let her age fool you – she is a playful dog that will thrive in an active home. She loves to fetch! She also loves to cuddle up and watch TV on the couch with her people. She likes to talk, so she might not be the best match for an apartment or condominium. Maggie is deaf, but you wouldn’t know it, so don’t let that worry you one bit. She is generally gentle and very social, but may do best in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children. Maggie is nervous with other dogs and prefers to avoid them altogether, so she should be the only dog in the home. Come meet Maggie and see if her becoming your best friend is the adventure you have been waiting for! A training consult is provided to help everyone get off on the right paw.

Hi there - I'm Frida and I'm a young Pitbull mix who can't wait to find my new home! My shelter friends say that I'm a smart and curious pup and I already know "sit". They think that with some reward-based training I can learn lots! I'm a loving and playful puppy but like a lot of puppies, I can be a bit mouthy so my new home would need to help teach me not to use my mouth as much. Come meet me and see if we're a match! I am around 4 months old and weigh 21 lbs.
