We are always on the hunt for bully breed ambassadors when considering which Pit Bulls to pull from shelters. Temperament is everything!

Patron is one of those super good boys! He landed in a California shelter that doesn’t do adoptions and readily euthanizes. But his dog to dog videos were stellar even with a grouchy small dog and another intact male bully breed. He was a calm, smiling gentle giant with the humans networking him.

After we got Patron out of the shelter and went to neuter him in California, they had to reverse the sedative and revive him. His blood pressure dropped pretty low. Once up here in Oregon, we did some more bloodwork and his white blood cell count was low due to Anaplasmosis which is a flea borne illness. He had tested negative for it in California then positive up here just a week later in Oregon. It is not contagious. Patron started on an antibiotic to treat Anaplasmosis. Hopefully at his recheck September 2nd we can get this boy neutered. He does not mark in his foster home and has been reliable with his potty habits despite being unneutered.

Patron is 85 pounds of pretty much muscle and he is such a stunning Isabella color. We estimate him to be between 4-5 years old. He has a nice lower-medium energy level and loves to sleep on the couch on near you on his dog bed.

He is fostered with both male and female bully breed dogs and does well with them. He will cuddle and spoon with the other dogs in his foster home.

Fostered with cats and is good with them!

Patron loved meeting everyone including kids at the adoption event Agave Dogs Rescue had last week. He was tolerant of rowdy puppies in his face.

Patron is a good egg and we hope to find him an adoptive home despite his medical setbacks. He deserves it.

$200 adoption fee

Fostered in Beaverton, Oregon
