"BRICK" AVAILABLE for ADOPTION with "AGAVE RESCUE"
BRICK good in a home with dogs, cats adoption fee $250
Brick is a stunningly handsome red puppy who was a stray living
on a woman's porch in California for weeks. The shelters there are not
accepting stray dogs so we jumped in to help Brick come to our program
for the chance at a happy new life.
- Approximately 5-6 months old, puppy teeth are still present with adult teeth pushing in
- 37 pounds, tall, lanky boy
- DNA test sent out 8/10/25 and we should know in a few weeks what Brick's breed mix is. We are guessing Doberman/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.
- Energetic, confident puppy who needs a yard for play and active owners willing to engage him in outings and training.
- Very social and loves all people. Did wonderful meeting strangers and kids at an adoption event.
- Good with other dogs. Can be a little too playful for small dogs and annoy them. He is more respectful of larger dogs and does well with them.
- Cat workable. May try to play with cats. Was fostered for a few days with cats in California and didn't bother them too much. We have not seen him with cats since he has come to Oregon. May need redirecting and supervision with kitties.
- Would do best in a home with owners who are not gone super long work hours. Crate training is a work in progress and currently Brick does cry in the crate. He will settle but then will whine. We are hopeful with time and yummy chews, that Brick will acclimate to the crate.
- Does great at night and sleeps through the night without waking up or having potty accidents. Brick sleeps on a dog bed in the same room as his foster family. He goes right to bed and is a good boy at night. Hopefully this is an arrangement that would be acceptable in his future home.
- Walks pretty well on leash and also knows "sit." Very treat motivated and smart boy!
