Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix (guess)...good in home with other dogs adoption fee $400, 1 yr 11 lbs
Raggs was rescued after being dumped in a rural orchard in California with a group of small dogs. He has been waiting in rescue since December 2024 for someone to give him a chance. Raggs is a gentle, shy, kind guy who needs a patient person to give him a chance. Raggs is reserved meeting new people but he soon becomes a wiggly, happy boy that carries around his toys to show you his prize.
- We are requiring a home with a fenced yard and at least one other friendly companion dog to be a pal to Raggs
- His littermate's DNA test results came back with the top 3 breeds being Poodle, Chihauhua and Shih Tzu
- Handsome, scruffy long fur. Short legs, long body, low rider
- Raggs loves other dogs! He thrives with another confident dog in the home to show him the ropes. Raggs is fostered with two bigger dogs and enjoys their company. No aggression towards other dogs.
- No cats, birds, small furry pets
- LOVES his toys and will collect them on his bed and make a little toy nest for himself
- Great with his potty habits so far
- Walks nice on leash and just recently learned how to walk on leash. He's a little nervous but is getting braver and braver with each new trip out of the house. No leash reactivity noted.
- Zero aggression, kind dog

ANNIKA adopted 8/27/25 spayed female, mix good with other dogs, (cats, maybe) kids 12 + $450
Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix (guess)...good in home with other dogs adoption fee $400, 1 yr 11 lbs
Annika is such a darling little dog and we hope you'll fall in love with
her! Annika was rescued out of California after she survived for 3
weeks on her own with one other little dog in a rural area fending for
themselves. We are so happy to have Annika safe and in our program
because she is a really nice little dog that will make someone very
happy.
- Reserved and timid at first with new people but she blossoms and is
interested in meeting you as soon as you sit down on the couch and she
can come up to greet you. She is a sensitive, loving little dog and she
absolutely wants to bond with her person.
- Does great with other dogs and is fostered with a senior small male
Chihuahua. Has also lived with a small female dog. May do best with
another dog friend in her future home to help bolster her confidence.
- We have not seen her with cats but imagine she might do just fine with them
- Kids ages 12+ if there are kids in the home. She would appreciate a calmer home.
- Loves to sleep in bed with her foster mom. Doesn't care for the crate
at nighttime. But does crate just fine if you need to leave the house.
She just wants to snuggle with her person at night like so many small
dogs tend to.
- Knows sit and is treat motivated
- Still building up her confidence walking on leash but this is coming
along at a gradual, gentle pace. She will just need some patience and
coaching (and likely another dog on the walk will help) to get her going
more confidently on leash.
- Polite, easy dog to live with. Will bark to alert at a fairly typical rate for small dogs. Usually when someone is outside.
- Doing well with potty training. Had a few accidents the first few days
in foster but has become more reliable as routine has been established.

DORY update 8/22/25 ADOPTED female, mix 4 mths 23 lbs, good with dogs, cats, children, adoption fee $250
At just 4 months old and 23 pounds, Dory is already a superstar—playful with other dogs, gentle with cats, and sweet with children. She’s the perfect mix of cuddles and curiosity, just waiting for someone to see her and say, “She’s the one.”
Dory is a silly, sweet little pup rescued after being dumped with her
four litter mates in an orchard in California. We have the video of
their rescue if you'd like to see it and they are so happy to have been
found by our rescue partners there in California.
- Approximate date of birth: 4/2/25
- Weighs approximately 30 pounds on 8/18/25
- Possibly a Pit Bull/German shepherd mix but we are only taking our best guess as we have no parent dogs to reference.
- Social, happy, playful puppy who loves people and other dogs
- Fostered with two cats and has done well with them. She backed off fast when one cat swiped her after she got too close.
- Fostered with kids ages 11+ but would likely do fine with younger kids
- Doing well with crate training
- Potty training is going well and she is definitely grasping the concept
- Walks on leash
- Playful and loves to chase after toys and bring them back
Dory has had three rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, rabies
vaccine, is microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery at our partner vet clinic in
Milwaukie, Oregon between 6 months to 1 year of age. It also includes a
free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon
City, Milwaukie, Portland, or Tualatin.
NEAT (UPDATE adopted 8/21/25 )TINY male Chihuahua mix, 1.5 yrs, 6.8 lbs good in home other dogs, good with cats, kids 12+ (just due to Neat's small size)adoption $400
Neat is a dainty little guy that was a stray in California. He has so much personality and is absolutely adorable! We are seeking a home for Neat with dogs similar in size to him if there are dogs in the home. He is very petite.
- Good with other dogs
- Happy pup
- Has done good with his potty habits. He may mark the first couple days in a new home but then he figures it out and is much more reliable with his potty accidents. His foster in California told us he only had accidents the first few days he was with her (prior to his neuter,) but then he was much better with his potty habits after neuter and a few days in her home.
- Would love a couch, some blankets and a loving lap to cozy up to
- Good with cats and has been fostered with one and been polite
Neat is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He does have a common blood condition called Anaplasmosis which he acquired from being covered in fleas during his life in California. Fleas transmit the bacteria. Neat is asymptomatic and our vet has recommended not treating the condition if it is asymptomatic. If Neat does develop symptoms, he would just need to take a daily antibiotic for 28 days which works wonderfully. Anaplasmosis is not contagious. Neat's adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tulating.

BUZZ adopted 8/24/25 *Special Needs- Blind* female, mix 11 weeks 6 lbsgood with other dogs, cats, $450
Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix (guess)...good with dogs, kids 12 + adoption fee $450, 11 weeks 6 lbs
- Breed mix unknown but we guessed at Chihuahua/Shih Tzu. His mom is a scruffy gray dog and his sister is scruffy too. Buzz has a smooth coat.
- Rescued as his litter was being given away at a homeless shelter. We saved Buzz and his litter mates. We will get mom dog spayed.
- Snuggly puppy who enjoys his rambunctious play time but also likes a nap on your chest, under your chin.
- Doing well with crate training. Likes the crate for naps and to sleep at night. Whines when he needs to go potty if he's in the crate.
- Would do best with kids ages 10+ if there are children in the home
- Good with cats and other gentle dogs. He could do fine as a solo dog. He is fostered with other dogs but can’t read their body language due to his vision impairment so he can play rough, barky and bitey at times. But then he also will nap with another dog.
Buzz has had two rounds of puppy vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery when he is old enough. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Milwaukie, Oregon City, Portland or Tualatin.
