"SWIRL" friendly young Chi mix

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Hello, I would like to introduce the Vanilla Swirl act! My name is Swirl and my friend here is Vanilla (12/1Vanilla has an adopter) We have been on the road preforming for scraps of food and now its time to settle down for the home life. My shelter friends can't actually tell you what our past experiences have been like but they can say we are cute, friendly, active, and looking for a new family. Are you interested in us? Please come down to the shelter and say hello. I am around 1 year old and weigh 9.7 pounds.

"ELSA" - one ear up Wirehaired cutie

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption (in a foster home) with  Multnomah County Animal Services!
Hellooooooo Portland! And places beyond. My name is Elsa. I'm a wirehaired dachshund mix who is guaranteed to melt the coldest of hearts. For starters, I love to be wherever you are. Ready to hunker down for the winter with some hot tea and movies? I'll be curled up right there by your side the whole time. I also love, love, love to go for walks and dance adorably whenever I see the leash. I love other dogs, and respectful kids, too. There may be a small adjustment period at first, but I promise that I know I should potty outside. I've even been using the Poochie Bells in my foster home to let them know I want out. Apparently that means I'm smarter than your average snow princess. I admittedly complain about being in my crate, but I do quiet down eventually, once I'm really super extra sure that you've truly left the premises. Then I just nap like a good girl and dream of when you'll come home and we can walk and play. With a little more work, my crate habits should be perfect. I came in as a stray, so I can't really share much about my past, except to say that I've "let it go" and am looking forward to my future with you! I'm about 2 years old, and I weigh 7 lbs. If you would like to meet me, please contact the Foster Coordinator at alix.womack@multco.us or 503-988-6247.

" LLOYD" Lab lovers/Senior dog lovers

ADOPTED!

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Shelter

here's my Mcas weblink

Hello, my name is Lloyd. I arrived at the shelter as a stray dog with some itchy skin and ears. My friends here have started me on the road to recovery and now I'm hoping you can help me along my journey. I have been social with people, even a friendly greeting of other dogs. I can be a little too possesive over high value food so the shelter is asking that only families with respectful 12 year olds and older ask about me. Are you interested in being my home to retire? Please come down and meet me. I am around 9 years old and weigh 61 pounds

"BROLEY" very handsome guy

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Hello, my name is Broley! Don't you think I'm handsome? My story is that I have been living as an outside tethered dog since I was just a wee lad. Their experience with me is that I was social with people, barked at cats, have played with some neighborhood dogs and was sometimes let into the house when its cold. My family is now unable to keep me because of an incident that happened involving me and a child running past me. My new adopter should be experienced with owning dogs, have no children under 18, be prepared to use positive training methods to help me refine my house manners and gain some skills to help keep me out of trouble. Please ask a staff member for more information about my past. I am around 2 and a half years old and weigh 69 pounds.

"CINNAMON" - Old dogs are the most grateful!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

(11/30 update - Cinnamon is now in a Foster to adopt home!)

Hello world! Are you ready for an active and outgoing lady like me? I may be around 9 years of age, but I still have plenty of pep in my step and I am looking for someone who can keep up! The shelter recommends a home without cats or small kids. I am a real food hound and will eat just about anything, so a little dog proofing of the home is in order. I weigh a lean 50lbs and would love a home where I get a good quality diet and daily exercise. Please ask about ME today!

"HAMMISH" cool dog - maybe cattle dog/ pitbull/ lab/ setter mix?

ADOPTED!

I'm a cool dog - and  it is so hard for smart, active and sensitive dogs to be in a shelter kennel environment.....
I promise I'll do great in a home with active people who like smart dogs .....
Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's  my Mcas weblink (11/29 adoption pending 12/3)

Well hello world, the shelter named me Hamish for my handsome and manly good looks.
I am going to be frank with you I am not so sure of strangers. I need time to really figure out if you can be trusted before I let down my guard. Because of this the shelter is asking for families with respectful children at least 10 years old to ask about me.
The shelter is also a bit mystified as to my breed mix… So they are using the catch name American Shelter Dog. Old school would be to call me Heinz 57 or a mutt. Isn't ASD more sophisticated?
I am around 2 years old and weigh in at 63 lbs.

"DRACULA" a devoted senior Poodle

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my Mcas weblink  ( 11/28 - in a Foster to Adopt!)

Hello my name is Dracula, no I am not scary! My sweet mom could not care for me any longer so at 12 years old I am in the market for my last forever home. My family wanted you to know I have good house manners, ride well in cars, adored my cat housemates and got along well with all people. Because I am an older model the shelter thinks I will fit in best in an adult household or respectful children 10 years or older. Won't you make my wishes come true? I weigh in at 11 lbs.

"MILEY" sweet chi - has lived with dogs and cats

Transferred to Oregon Humane Society!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Hello, my name is Miley! I arrived at the shelter with my 3 other canine friends because our family is no longer able to take care of us. Although its always hard to be uprooted from a place we are familiar with, we arrived infested with fleas. Thanks to our shelter friends we have been given medical attention and are now ready for a fresh start. I'm a little worried about this environment but have been social with people. Just sit down and hand feed me some cheese, my heart will be all yours! We will need some help on housetraining but have lived peacefully with other dogs and cats. Please come down and meet me. I am around 5 years old and weigh 5 pounds

I'm not a fashion chi type, and I don't even like the concept personally....I'd rather just be a loved dog, than this cute shelter model...  (ah.... but.....so what do you think?  one ear in, one ear out? ... the hooded look?....)

"PARTY PUPPY" fabulous Pitmix teenager!

ADOPTED!

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services

here's my MCAS weblink

Haha! The shelter named me Party Puppy, 'cause I'm always ready to party. I'm about 10 months old and weigh about 40 pounds. The shelter recommends training classes for me so I can learn to walk nicely on a leash and not jump on people. I really like to play fetch and I'll even let you have the ball instead of running away with it like most pups my age. So what do you think? Are you ready to party with me?
