"PICKLES" smart and active young GERMAN SHEPHERD "MCAS"

MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females and purebred dogs! (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!) Adopting intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for animal control are ensuring that  the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Management is failing the animals and the community....Possible Solution? - lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out. Provide safe spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals are spay/neutered before they go to new homesMore veterinarians could be recruited if given a competitive wage and more autonomy

"PICKLES" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

Ready to add some zest to your life? Meet Pickles, a young, bright-eyed German Shepherd who is as sweet as she is smart. Pickles is a playful and energetic pup who loves to be on the go, whether it's chasing a ball or learning a new trick. Her intelligent mind soaks up new commands and routines, making her a star student in any training class. While she can be a little nervous in new situations, Pickles' confidence blossoms with a patient and consistent owner who can help her feel safe. She's looking for a family who can provide plenty of mental and physical exercise and, most importantly, shower her with the love and reassurance she needs to truly shine. Are you the one to help Pickles find her forever home? 🥒💕
