adoption application

Personality: Funny, Playful, Friendly, Curious, Affectionate

Wynonna, our 5 pound 9 week old chihuahua mix, is an only child. A Sagittarius only child. Admittedly, we don't know anything about astrology. Is a Sagittarius the most likely to bite your toes then crap on the rug? If so, Wynonna is so Sagittarius.

As Wynonna is brand spanking new, she currently doesn't know how to do anything except exactly what she wants to do. This includes: ineffective playful attacks, ineffective tiny howls, and ineffective attempts at jumping up on things. Like all puppies, Wynonna will need an adopter who wants to train and socialize her. Being an only child has not helped with her awkwardness so Wynonna's adopter will also need to help her make friends.

Wynonna is friendly, funny, and active. When not chewing on people, she loves to cuddle them. Wynonna is great with dogs and has been around kids. Although she's tiny, she is still working on mouthiness, so we don't recommend little kids in her home. Being a chihuahua, she is on the shaky/timid side and will need ongoing confidence support. We expect Wynonna to be around 15-20 pounds fully grown.

Wynonna is spayed, microchipped, and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. She has had her first vaccines and will need vaccines every 3 weeks until she's 16 weeks old. Her adopter should make those veterinary appointments right away. All puppies would benefit from classes, even (and maybe especially) the little ones. So Wynonna's adopter should get those sorted out too. Wynonna's adoption fee is $500.

If you think 5 pounds is a manageable size and shouldn't be too much work, please do not apply. If, however, you realize all the work you put into a 5 pound puppy will pay off with a perfect 15 pound adult, apply to adopt!
