UPDATE 2/7/26 "DASH" ADOPTED!! OHS-Portland
What my friends at OHS say about me:
- I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment.
- To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.
- I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things.
- Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
- I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
- High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.
- I am the prefect blend between active and calm.
- I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!
The type of home I'm looking for:
- I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
- I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence and for me to play with!
- I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.
- I need to go to a home without small children as loud noises and fast movements can frighten me.

Meet Dasher, a 9-month-old Pitbull who is a total "big baby" at heart.
Despite his growing size, he is a sensitive soul who thrives on
affection and just wants to be near his people. Dasher is still learning
how to navigate the big world and will need a patient and understanding
family to help him through his puppy milestones.
He is currently working on his confidence and will require continued
socialization and leash training to help him become a polished gentleman
on walks. Because he can be a bit shy or overwhelmed in new situations,
he needs a home that will give him the time and encouragement he needs
to blossom. If you have a soft spot for a sweet, oversized lap dog,
Dasher is ready to dash into your heart!
