UPDATE 3/30/24 ADOPTED
Volunteers love her! KISSIMI is a sweetheart with them.
KISSIMI does NOT present well in her kennel and often barks at the people looking in. *ok, so why would you ask to meet her?? Well maybe you are her special person who understands that Kissimi is a special dog (she is a Border Collie after all) and Maybe you could be a foster home who could offer her a safe place outside of the shelter...? that is a real option! but mostly right now (besides the love of volunteers and the stability that she does get in the shelter) Kissimi needs a stable, dog-experienced and committed person(s) to adopt her, who understands her body language and helps her she feels secure in various situations.
"KISSIMI" is Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

I'm Kissimi, a sweet and sensitive soul in search of a loving home. While I may feel a bit nervous around my furry counterparts, my love for people is boundless. When it comes to my human friends, I'm a social butterfly with a heart as warm as a summer day. Affection is my middle name, and I won't hesitate to ask for those belly rubs and cuddles that make life truly delightful. Now, I'll be honest - other dogs may initially make me a bit anxious. But fear not, with slow and patient introductions, I believe we can build positive connections and friendships. And since I'm a herding breed, I will need to have my body AND mind exercised daily. An adoption counselor can discuss my needs more with you if you would like to adopt me. If you're seeking a devoted companion who craves human connection and is ready to shower you with love, I'm Kissimi, eagerly waiting to be a part of your family. Let's embark on a journey of friendship, love, and countless belly rubs together
