Give the guy a break! He still has things to learn about living as a beloved pet and not a member of a over-grown dog pack. He'll be a great dog if you just give him a chance!

What my friends at OHS say about me:
- I came from a special rescue case and have a lot to learn. The amazing staff and volunteers have been teaching me how to wear a collar, getting used to a leash, and what it means to be a human's best friend.
- Give me treats and pets and you will be my new favorite person.
- Nothing gets past my nose! I take my role as inspector very seriously. I'm curious and will investigate whatever my people-friends are busy with.
- I am preparing to charm my way into your heart if you come meet me.
- It will be important to spend a few weeks with me in a secure back yard before trying to introduce me to new places, people or things. I am at my best when I get a lot of support and do better with people I have built a trusting relationship with.
- Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
- Escape Artist: I have a history of escaping doors or fences. I will need supervision when outdoors or we can go on adventures together - on leash of course!
- To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.
The type of home I'm looking for:
- I must go to a home with a fenced in yard and a low traffic neighborhood.
