PLEASE RESEARCH the German Shorthaired Breed. They are very active dogs and deserve a home who can accommodate their needs. They also "Velcro dogs" and need lots of people attention.
They might do better with another dog in the home that they can play with, expend energy and have for companionship when you are gone from the home
If you care about the current homeless dog overpopulation crisis, PLEASE let Multnomah County commissioners/ MCAS and news stations know that MCAS needs to spay/neuter the dogs before adoption! ......MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs before adoption, especially the females and purebred dogs! Management is failing the dogs and the community.They have had years to resolve this issue and are creating a larger problem for homeless pets. ..... but...it's not the dogs' fault, and the dogs need good adopters!
11/24/25 "I'm available for a pre-select adoption but I can't go home yet. Please come to the shelter to apply! Learn more about Pre-select animals." NOTE- it is important to check at the local animal shelters if you lose your pet as the stray hold time is only 3-6 days depending on if they have any id . Often the dog is listed as pre-select the same day it comes in as a stray
