TAHOE" little POODLE with BIG personality " CLACKAMAS County DOG SERVICES"

UPDATE Transferred to Oregon Humane Society - Portland

CLACKAMAS County DOG SERVICES

Adopt INFO

'Look through our adoptable dogs to find the perfect match for you and your family. We assign each dog a breed and do our best to describe the dog's personality. Please read each dog's profile closely before applying or coming in. Meets with dogs are set up only when an approved application is on file and the adopter meets the basic suitability requirements for a particular dog. We actively seek rescue placement for our dogs who have medical needs, training needs, or for dogs who just haven't found their forever home through us. Dogs who are noted to be "Committed to Rescue" are not currently viewable for adoption, and they may have a home already through their rescue placement. You are welcome to fill out an online application for us to pre-approve and keep on file. Then, when your dream dog comes in, the adoption process will be much quicker"

"Our dogs all go home with their spay/neuter completed, microchipped, rabies vaccinated, DHPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, are heart worm tested, one month flea/tick preventative applied, and with a 1 year license included. They also will have their teeth checked and any needed dental work done prior to going home, too!"  CCDS FB

"ORCHID" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Shelter"

Shelter ID: 106069  Poodle - Miniature/Mix neutered male.

5 yrs 15 lbs

If you've ever wanted a big dog in a small dog body, then look no further - Tahoe is your guy. At about 15lbs and around 5 years of age, he is a little fella with a BIG personality. Tahoe wants to adventure, expolore, and see EVERYTHING, as long as it is with you! He may desire a house that is going to be more active, and who is going to include him in those activities. He knows that many dogs of his size and breed prefer the quiet life, and Tahoe may enjoy that too, but he craves excitement and adventure from time to time too. If you're ready for your next small-sized adventure pal, make sure to meet Tahoe!

1) Tahoe is an active dog, and would do best in a home that has experience with active and higher energy dogs of any size.

2) We don't know how Tahoe will be with cats or other small animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions between Tahoe and any resident small animals to make sure they can be good housemates.

3) Tahoe has been dog friendly here at the shelter, but may be too much energy for some other dogs. He likely would do best with another dog who is of similar play style, or who is confident and unbothered by a higher energy dog like himself.

4) Due to his higher energy nature and active lifestyle, Tahoe may do best with children who are least 9 years of age or older.

"SHELBY" lovebug Senior PUGGLE mix "OHS- PORTLAND"

 UPDATE 8/7/25 ADOPTED

"SHELBY" AVAILABLE FOR Adoption at Oregon Humane Society  in SALEM

SHELBY Available 8/5/2025  #157561 $50

spayed female, 12 yrs 5 mths 20 lbs "Looks  like" Puggle, mix

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • I'm a lovebug looking for the perfect place to spend my golden years.
  • My friends call me a "couch potato" because my favorite thing to do is laze around the house.
  • I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
  • I have been diagnosed with dental disease which means I may need dental cleanings or extractions in the future.
  • I have been diagnosed with cataracts, which impairs my vision to a varying degree.

"DAN" delightful, petite, soft and *loves being petted*, WEIMARANER "OREGON WEIMARANER RESCUE"

UPDATE 8/7/25 ADOPTED

"DAN" is Available for adoption at OREGON WEIMARANER RESCUE

DAN

OWR FB

neutered  male  Weimaraner, 6 yr 60 lb

current location: Tigard,OR.... Adoption Fee $300

BELIEVED COMPATIBILITY WITH:

CHILDREN:  Untested but really friendly so...?

CATS:  No

DOGS:  Females, perhaps the right male

Mr Dan is an outgoing, happy, healthy, microchipped, neutered and vaccinated 6 year old 60# male Weimaraner looking for his type of new home. What type of new home you ask? Well, mostly just one which has an owner who enjoys playing fetch :) Dan is a super friendly petite Weim who responds well to all of his basic commands, is wire crate trained, hand signal trained, rides well in vehicles, loves attention, bathes well and has so far been a particularly easy foster doggo whose primary drives in life seem to be affection and balls. Dan is being fostered alongside several other Weimaraners (4 to be exact) and is doing really well but he can visually get a bit nervous around some of the male dogs so a home with a female or no other dog would be ideal (in his prior home he was paired with a female). This gentle boy was rehomed due to lengthy work schedules so we are looking for a forever home where people are around far more than they are away. If Dan the easygoing man seems like the right potential fit for you and your situation, please submit an application below.

"SHELLY" *Pre-select* PITBULL PUPPY"MCAS"

UPDATE 8/7/25 ADOPTED

UPDATE 8/5/25 Pre-selected

MCAS needs to spay/neuter all dogs, especially the female dogs, before adoption (and ensure that the dogs are given adequate care and recovery time!Adopting intact dogs to new homes is grossly irresponsible in our current homeless dog crisis. EVEN POOR counties with a much smaller budget for animal control are ensuring that  the dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Management is failing the animals and the community.        possible Solution? - lease/create an offsite space and hire part-time well- qualified Veterinarians and qualified volunteers to help out.  Provide safe spay/neuter and provide a safe recovery space so all adoptable animals are spay/neutered before they go to new homes.=================

"JETTA" Available for Adoption at "CLACKAMAS CO DOG Shelter"

Shelter ID: 106068  spayed female Chow Chow/mix

5 yrs 38 lbs (a little underweight)

Description: Jetta is a lovely ginger Chow Chow lady who is about 5 years of age and ready to find her forever home! Jetta is a petite lady, weighing in at a slight 38lbs. She does need to continue to gain a few pounds, but not much! Like all Chow's, Jetta will need regular grooming and coat maintenance to keep her hair healthy and tangle free. Jetta can be a tad nervous of new people at first, but with a snack and some soft words she will readily become your sidekick and happily join you for a walk or whatever adventure you're up to.

1) Jetta can be a little nervous of new people at first, and may do best in a home that has had dogs previously.

2) We don't know how Jetta will be with cats or other small animals, so be sure to discuss proper introductions between any smaller animals and Jetta with your adoption counselor to make sure they can be good housemates!

3) Jetta has been dog friendly here at the shelter! She may do best with a dog of similar size and energy level.

4) Due to her initial shy nature, Jetta may do best in a home with no children under the age of 13 years of age.

"MAREK" mellow PUPPY! *Dory's sibling* *loves people, dogs, gentle kids "AGAVE RESCUE

 UPDATE 8/7/25 ADOPTED

"MAREK" AVAILABLE for ADOPTION with "AGAVE RESCUE"

MAREK Agave Rescue

Affectionate, Funny, Smart, Athletic, Brave, Curious, Playful, Friendly

Marek's breed guess (no parents to reference) Pitmix/german shepherd, adoption $250, (will be neutered) male,  DOB 4-2-25 (apprx)  wt: 16 lbs at 14 weeks

Marek would make an amazing adventure buddy for a person who likes to take their dog out and about. He's pretty much up for anything! Marek was rescued after being dumped with his four litter mates in an orchard in California. We have the video of their rescue if you'd like to see it and they are so happy to have been found by our rescue partners.

- Approximate date of birth: 4/2/25

- Weighs 16 pounds at 15 weeks old

- Possibly a Pit Bull/German shepherd mix but we are only taking our best guess as we have no parent dogs to reference.

- Social, happy, playful puppy who loves people and other dogs

- He is the most mellow puppy of his litter

- Sleeps quietly in his crate at night and typically just wakes his foster mom up once at night to go out to potty

- We have not seen him with any cats yet. He is young and very trainable still so we are hopeful he could acclimate to life with cats in a home still.

- Enjoyed meeting gentle kids in the neighborhood at his foster home

- Learning crate training, potty training and walking on leash

- Playful boy who loves his toys and human cuddles

Marek has had three rounds of puppy vaccines and dewormer, rabies vaccine, is microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon between 6 months to 1 year of age. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland, or Tualatin.

$250 adoption fee

Fostered in Oregon City, Oregon

APPLY TO ADOPT MAREK ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Marek met the UPS driver

Marek met the UPS man yesterday and was all about the attention and treats in his pocket! 💛
How’s that for delivery driver socialization 📦🐾
Marek is on the mellower side as puppies go. He’s the chillest of his litter. And he sleeps through the night in his crate, only waking up his foster mom once a night for a potty break then back to bed.
• 15 weeks old and 16 pounds •

Meet Zenith! This handsome, neutered male is a true testament to the gentle spirit of senior dogs. At an age where many pups have settled into their forever homes, Zenith is patiently waiting for his turn. He's a calm soul who enjoys quiet companionship and can be a little nervous when first meeting new people or in unfamiliar environments. However, with a patient and understanding approach, he quickly warms up and reveals his sweet, affectionate nature. Zenith isn't looking for a bustling household; he'd thrive in a peaceful home where he can truly relax and feel secure. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share your calm moments and provide endless love, Zenith might just be the perfect fit. 💕
