Yakima, WA is a long drive from Portland, but the Yakima Humane Society seems like a decent animal shelter that could use a boost for attention.   They spay/neuter all their adoption pets and try to do adequate adoption screening (which is more than can be currently said of Mult County animal shelter!)

they were were quite thin on intake

Dee Dee Intake Pics

Dee Dee was brought in with her brother Brutus. They were on the skinny side when found and very scared. Since coming to us they are slowly coming out of their shell and just need a little help to reach their full potential. Dee Dee is looking for someone to give her some TLC and a little socializing so she can be the confident pup she wants to be. Please remember that Dee Dee is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.
