"XAVIER" lhasa - please spoil me!

ADOPTED!
Nov 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (10/30 adoption pending)
animal id #582256

Hi there! My name is Xavier and as you can see, I am in need of some good TLC. The shelter staff has already had to shave a lot of my hair that was severely matted. I just need a new family to give me the attention I deserve. I am a reserved guy that really likes to be spoiled and to cuddle. I do come with some sensitivities to handling around my ears and face, so I am asking for a home with children that are over 6 years old. I also have some medical issues, such as allergies, that will need to be addressed by your veterinarian. I hope that doesn't stop you though, I am a great little guy that just wants to be taken care of correctly. Please come and meet me today! I am about 4 years old and weigh 17 pounds.

Louise: Mcas weblink
animal id # 582176

We are Thelma (mostly Tan) and Louise (White with Tan markings). And we are friends to the end! We came in to the shelter together, and really enjoy each other's company. It is because of this that we would like to be adopted together into the same home. But with that, you will get two very sweet little girls who love to snuggle and be around their people. We are very small, so it is best that we go to a home with kids over 6 years old. We hope that you have two open spots in your heart and home for us! Thelma is 2 years old and Louise is 5 years old, and they are both under 8 pounds.

"CHESTER" catahoula dog mix

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (10/27 adoption pending)
animal id #580381

My name is Chester. I am a Catahoula Leopard dog mix. I am 3 years old and weigh 73 pounds. I have come a long way from the East Coast, but my hope is to find a nice home here in Oregon to call my own. I enjoy spending time with my family and being given love and affection. I have not spent a lot of time on my own, so my new family should try to work with me on down time and being left by myself for periods of time. I have had mixed interactions with other dogs in the past. I am a handsome dog with a lot of potential, but I will need an experienced home who is willing to help guide me to being the best dog I can be. I hope that you can be that person, and give me the safe and secure home I am looking for out here on the West Coast. No small children (14+).

thanks ResQ Animal Massage for the cute Chester pic!  He loved his massage !

animal id # 580683

Hi there, my name is Harold! As you may have noticed, I don't have the best eyesight. I can still see a little, but I like to use scent and the sound of your voice to help guide me along. But I don't let that get me down! I'm still a peppy dog with lots of love left to give! And I mean lots. There's nothing I like better than pets and attention from people - though a snack and a soft bed are close seconds. I'm looking for a mellow home with lots of love and a cozy bed for me to retire in. I have had some skin issues which the nice folks here have been helping me recover from. I'm around 16 years old and weigh 17.8lbs.
Harold recently had eye surgery (and  in the photos and video he still has his sutures and medicated ointment in his eyes)

"VALA" sweet Rottie

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here my Mcas weblink  ( pending adoption dental 10/25)
animal id # 581695

My name is Vala. I am a beautiful Rottie lady, but I am so much more than just a breed! I have such a sweet disposition, and these shelter friends of mine sure do agree with that. They love the way I nuzzle for more attention, and have a really soft personality. I can be shy with new people, and take time to bond. But once I do, I really enjoy the attention my person gives me. The shelter is recommending I go to a home with kids 10 years old and up. Breed experience would also be very beneficial. I am an older gal, but I still have a lot of love to give. I promise to make you see how great I am! I am years 10 old and weigh 70pounds.

animal id # 582199

Hi there! My name is Frankie and I'm looking for an active home that can give me plenty of exercise. I can be shy with new things and people, so patience is also key for me. If you get that tennis ball out though, we'll be fast friends. The shelter is recommending a home with children over 10 years as I am not a fan of sharing my food. Please come and meet me today! I already know how to sit and down and now just need my new family to take me home. I am about 2 years old and weigh 69 pounds

"STARLA" cute chi/pom type

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here my Mcas weblink  (10/21 pending adoption)
animal id # 582200

My name is Starla. I am a sweet but shy little lady, and I am looking for a quiet and loving home to take me in and give me the good life! I can be a bit timid when I meet new people, and I am not a big fan of loud areas with lots of traffic. I prefer my home to be calm and low-key. I have been sensitive to fast movements and some handling, so it is best that I go to a home with kids over 10 years old. My favorite thing in the whole world is to be held and sit on a nice warm lap for naps! I have been around same-sized canine friends and done well. I am 2 years old and weigh 10 pounds.

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id #582332

Hi there! My name is Penny and I'm in search of a new family to love me. I am a very sweet girl that adores children, dogs, and cats. Unfortunately though, I am not a fan of men and am looking for a home without any. Sorry guys! I can be shy in new situations or when meeting new people and take some time to warm up. We will make fast friends if you offer me some pieces of hotdogs though. Twirling and dancing are just a couple ways to show you that I would like a treat. We could have a lot of fun together with some good confidence building. Please come and meet me today. I am about 3 years old and weigh 6 pounds.

"JEFF" sweetie little puppy

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for Adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

animal # 581392
Mcas weblink

Hello there everybody, I am an adorable little bundle of joy! My name is Jeff, I think I am a Terrier mix, I am approximately 3 months old, and I weigh a whooping 6lbs! I currently live with my foster family but am looking for a forever family to go for walks with, play with, and sleep with. Even though my cuteness is unreal, I am still a baby which means I have a lot of needs and learning to do, and require a lot of attention and patience just like a human baby! It is very important to me that I am with my people close to all of the time, so I would definitely be best fit for a family that maybe works from home or is home most of the day; I am trying to improve and work on my separation anxiety. I would also love to have another young playful friend to play with. The foster dog I live with is older and even though we get along, I think my high energy is getting on his nerves. I have learned to be respectful of my foster cat but am a little rough with the kittens. I am doing great with my potty training but you do need to pay attention and notice my subtle cues to let me out. My teeny baby bladder hasn't grown big enough to hold it very long. So, along with my potty breaks every two hours, I'll see you bright and early in the mornings for my morning potty break! My foster mom says I get bored easily so lots of exercise and toys keep me out of trouble. Squeaky toys, bully sticks, balls, stuffed animals and play time with you will be necessary. Even though I am high energy I am also a snugly, sensitive boy and don't want to be left outside or alone in a kennel. I sleep really well at night if I am cuddled up next to you in your comfy warm bed. I really like kids but because I am a puppy and haven't quite learned all of my manners, we better stick to kids 8 and older. The shelter is recommending puppy classes which would be a wonderful way for us to get to know each other. If you are home most of the time, have the time and patience to raise a puppy, don't mind early mornings, have children over 8 years old, have a playmate for me, and lots of love to give me then maybe we should meet! NOTE: I am not in the shelter, but will be at Gresham Petsmart 430 NW Eastman Pkwy Gresham, Oregon 97030 on Saturday, Oct. 22nd from 11-3.

"BURLAP"sweet bunny

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id #581755

They named me Burlap but really I am a super soft Angora rabbit. I came to the shelter a little long in the tooth, literally! I have now had my teeth trimmed and will probably need this procedure repeated throughout my life due to my jaw structure. I should have had braces Tee Hee. Providing me chewing toys for me may help. I am around 4 years old and have been very tolerant of all the things the shelter felt I needed so now I am asking for a loving family to give me a fun indoor life. I will be neutered before I go home and my adoption cost is $30.00. Please ask to see me today

animal id # 581829

My name is Bungee! Watch me as I zip back and forth with the biggest smile on a Chihuahua you've ever seen! I am a very friendly and active little guy who's looking for the same in his new family. Just because I am small doesn't mean I don't have big dreams-hikes, roadtrips, games of chase, squeaky toys, a warm bed….you name it, and I am thinking it! I love to meet new people, and have shown pro-social behaviors with same-sized dogs. I am a shelter favorite, so come on down yourself to find out why! I am 3 years old and weigh 11 pounds.

"TITO" long legged lhasa mix

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption at Multnomah County Animal Services!

here my Mcas weblink
animal id # 581520

Tito is a Lhasa apso ready to find his new home! He is a fun guy who seems to really enjoys playing with squeaky toys and getting lots and lots of attention from people. However, Tito does not like having his face handled very much and has had past issues with children in this regard. He also loves to chase small animals around - because of these behaviors we are requesting that Tito go to a home with no small children and no small animals. Come stop by and fall in love with little Tito! He weighs 19lbs and is around 8 years old.

"CHANCE" young shaggy Big terrier mix

ADOPTED!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 581096

Chance here! Are you looking for a wonderful, fantastic, goof ball of a guy to warm your heart and make you laugh? That's me alright! Although it may seem like I can be shy at first, it is mostly because I can be unsure in new environments-I am just a young guy without a lot of life experiences. But with a little bit of treat motivation and patience, I recover to being the big, furry lug I am in no time. Once comfortable, I love to play and chase and frolic which could be overwhelming for an older dog since I might not know when to stop. I have a lot of energy and if my new home has another dog I would need to meet that dog first to make sure we are compatible. I do know sit, down, and shake but have been spotty with my housetraining. My new family should work on building my skills and confidence through lots of reward-based training. Can't wait to zip on out of here with you! I am 10-11 months old and am a lean 43 pounds!

Hi there - I'm Frida and I'm a young Pitbull mix who can't wait to find my new home! My shelter friends say that I'm a smart and curious pup and I already know "sit". They think that with some reward-based training I can learn lots! I'm a loving and playful puppy but like a lot of puppies, I can be a bit mouthy so my new home would need to help teach me not to use my mouth as much. Come meet me and see if we're a match! I am around 4 months old and weigh 21 lbs.

"ECHO" fluffy Jack Russel Terrier

"Transferred" to Jack Russell Rescue!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink
animal id # 581994

My name is Echo and I can't wait to meet you! I'm a Jack Russell terrier mix and as you might expect I'm a smart and curious dog. I like exploring and spending my time with my people. I already know "sit" very well so my intelligence and love of treats should make me a quick study if you're looking to teach me some new tricks! I also walk well on a leash and would love to cruise your neighborhood with you. I love attention but am hesitant about lots of extra handling like reaching over my head or under my belly. Because of this, I would do better in a home without young children (14+) and with people who will use praise and treats to bond with me. I have lived in a home with another dog of similar size and did well! Come on by and say hi! I am around 9 years old and weigh 12 lbs

" MOJO young " Lab/Pitmix

ADOPTED!
Oct 2016

Available for adoption with Multnomah County Animal Services!

here's my Mcas weblink  (10/17 pending adoption)
animal id # 582036

My name is Mojo! I am1 year old and weigh 46 pounds. I have become a fan favorite with my ability to work my magic to make human friends-hence the name! I am sweet and engaged with people, and it does not take me long to be right on your lap looking for affection. I have a rough and rowdy play-style with people, so it may be best that I go to a home with kids over 6 years old. I can be a bit unsure of other dogs, so any introductions should be done slowly, and dog parks may not be my preferred place to play. I would much prefer a rousing game of fetch in the back yard followed by a nice warm spot on the couch. Hope to see you at the shelter soon!
