Meet Shade, a sensitive and smart 58-pound companion who is ready to
find his forever home! While the shelter environment was initially a bit
overwhelming for him, Shade has truly blossomed into a playful,
treat-loving boy who already knows "sit," "shake," and "down." Once he
hits the agility trail, his true personality shines-he is a "zoomie"
expert who loves a good game of chase and has shown great social
potential and bouncy energy with other dog friends.
Shade is looking for a patient, adult-only home where he can continue to
build his confidence at his own pace. He is a bright dog who thrives on
clear communication and high-value snacks (cheese is the quickest way
to his heart!). Because he can be a little defensive when he feels
pressured or handled too abruptly, he needs an adopter who understands
canine body language and is ready to provide a calm, predictable
environment. In exchange, Shade offers a lifetime of loyal tail wags,
goofy play bows, and a heart full of potential.
