Meet Rio, an incredibly sweet pup with energy to spare! Rio is a true puppy at heart, ready to explore, play, and learn. He's already mastered the basics: he is crate trained, potty trained, and sleeps peacefully through the night. He loves a good game of tug-of-war or fetch, and once he's exercised, he's a wonderful snuggle buddy, happy to chew a bone right in your lap!

He generally gets along great with other dogs, enjoying the company of the dogs in his recent foster home. However, it's very important to note that Rio is not a fit for a home with cats or other small animals. As a young pup with a lot of pep, Rio will need committed, ongoing training and structure to help him channel his high energy and master his leash skills.

He also has a notable caution around new people, showing some "stranger danger" when visitors enter his space. For this reason, his ideal family must be prepared to manage this with a consistent routine and a protocol like using high-value treats to build positive associations with guests.

He would thrive in a predictable home with experienced owners and older, patient children who can respect his boundaries as he adjusts. If you're ready for an active, engaged dog who is committed to a training routine, Rio has an enormous amount of love to give and could be the perfect addition to your life!πŸ’—

Meet Adso, a stunning young dog whose deep charcoal coat and dashing good looks hint at a smart Shepherd and Husky heritage. Shadow is simply waiting for the right person to discover his amazing, playful heart! This sweet boy is a little selective about his friends, preferring to observe new situations before diving in.
He's looking for a patient leader who understands that a few quiet moments build the foundation for a lifetime of trust. 🐾

Once he's comfortable, Adso is a delight! He transforms into a playful, happy dog whose favorite activity is having fun. When it comes to playtime, he's a great companion and seems to have the most fun playing with friendly female dogs in our playgroups. He might just need a confident female dog to show him the ropes!

Because he has a strong natural drive to chase, Adso needs a forever home that is free of cats and other small pets. If you have a loving home with stability and patience, Adso is ready to trade his shyness for snuggles and make you his absolute favorite person. ✨

"SYDNEY" a True GEM! GOLDEN Husky/pittie mystery mix "PROJECT POOCH"

CHECK the website for upcoming adoptable dogs

"SYDNEY"  is currently available!

Project POOCH, quite simply, changes lives. We operate a kennel inside a youth correctional facility and pair currently incarcerated youth with shelter dogs. The youth learn kennel management, positive reinforcement, grooming, and training techniques. The youth learn what it means to be depended on by another living creature and what it means to be trusted and relied upon. And, they learn what unconditional love feels like—sometimes for the first time. Our dogs get trained, loved, and adopted into their forever homes. There is no limit to the amount of time a dog spends in our care, and we are focused on the individual needs of each dog."

SYDNEY spayed female , Husky/Pittie mix, Appx. 2-year-old Husky/Pittie Mix, 60 lbs Gets along with many dogs....LOVES people!

"Sydney is an absolute gem! At two years old, she is prime age to be your new buddy - no puppy shenanigans here. This blonde bombshell is a bit of a mystery mix, possibly some pitty, maybe shepherd or husky for those ears, but 100% born to be your best friend.

While at POOCH, we have found Sydney to be a silly girl, a cuddle partner, and down for the adventure. Her leash skills have really blossomed with the youth's support, and we have found her confidence on some of the agility equipment we have here.
She is the first dog our trainer uses to start playgroups, as she has been consistently clear in her communication to other dogs and is able to redirect other dogs who might not play the best yet.

Like any adolescent dog, she does shine when her needs are thoroughly met. Don't let that scare you off, her needs are a walk or some run around time, and plenty of cuddles. Syd's preferred place for a nap is either nearby, or in the sun, flat out to absorb it all.
She even got to show off how great she is at Animal Crackers Pet Supply during their birthday party. Even with other dogs barking and carrying on, she was ready to chill and nap when not greeting the many admirers.

If you grew up wishing for a doggy sidekick, maybe when you watched Up! you imagined a Dug of your own, Sydney might just have the paws to fill those shoes."
