QUARTZ Shelter ID: 105917 Great Dane mix, neut male, 4yrs 135 lbs
Description: Quartz is a shining example of a gentle giant! At about 4 years of age an 135lbs, Quartz is a BIG guy with a BIG heart and a LOT of love to give! Quartz is an easy going guy who enjoys nice walks, breaks to sniff, and of course lots of scratches and pets! Given his size, Quartz can be a powerful guy, so having experience with jumbo-sized dogs will be important. But if you're looking for a low-key, easy going fella, no need to look any further than Quartz!
1) Quartz is a very large dog who would do best with a family that has experience with extra large and powerful breeds. Although he is a low key fella here at the shelter, he has the capability of using his size and strength to pull his handler's around if he wanted to!
2) We don't know how Quartz will be with cats or other small animals, so please be sure to discuss proper introductions between Quartz and any resident small animals with your adoption counselor.
3) Quartz has been dog friendly here at the shelter. Due to his size and age, he may do best with another lower key dog of larger size. If you have another dog, please be sure to discuss their personality with your adoption counselor and schedule a time for your dog and Quartz to meet.
4) Due to his size, Quartz would likely do best with children who are at least 13 years of age or older. He is a big guy that could easily knock over little ones unintentionally!
