UPDATE 7/2/24 ADOPTED
REBEL hangs out in the outside kennel so visitors miss seeing her. Please ask to meet her, and give her plenty of time to get to know you
Rebel was afraid and shut down when she came into the shelter, but she now shines when she meets her staff and volunteer friends and can be quite affectionate too! Today, she rolled onto my lap when I was sitting - I never would have expected that when I met her about 10 days ago! She can be very lovable! But she needs to feel safe and get to know you first

Meet Rebel, a spirited and very intelligent blue heeler mix around 3
years old. This beautiful girl is a bit cautious when meeting new faces,
but her heart melts with some patience and a large handful of tasty
treats. Once she feels safe and loved, Rebel blossoms into an
affectionate and loyal companion. 🌸 Rebel's past remains a mystery, but
she's determined to make her future bright. As a herding breed, she
thrives on mental and physical challenges, so an active lifestyle with
plenty of playtime and exercise is essential. Rebel is always up for a
game of fetch, a hike in the woods, or a puzzle toy to keep her mind
sharp.
🧠 With love, guidance, and positive reinforcement, Rebel is ready to
leave her past behind and embark on new adventures with a loving family.
If you're ready to provide her with the active and enriching life she
deserves, Rebel could be the perfect addition to your pack!
