UPDATE 5/12/24 On adoption at OHS

What my friends at OHS say about me:

  • My history is a mystery! My friends here at OHS don't know if I've ever lived with other animals or children.
  • I am a sweet and sensitive boy who takes a little time to build trust and make friends.
  • I have been known to shower my favorite people with love.
  • Mental enrichment activities are a great way to entertain me and work my brain.
  • I'm a fiend for food! Snacks are a great way to make friends with me and teach me fun tricks.
  • Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.
  • I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things.
  • Click here to sign-up for our Start over Rover class! We will help you set you on the right path to have the best life possible with your new furry friend through training, games, and exercises!

The type of home I'm looking for:

  • I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
  • I am sensitive to touch on my legs, ribs, and belly. I may not be the best fit for small children who do not know to avoid those areas.
  • It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process.
  • You can also stock up on food and treats using our online store by clicking here.

Fergus, the spirited young Doberman, is a bundle of joy waiting to brighten up your days! At the shelter, he's won over everyone with his playful demeanor and sweet disposition. Fergus is a social butterfly, making lots of human friends, playing goofily with other pups from the shelter in the yards, and spreading happiness wherever he goes. He could do really well with another pup in the home if proper slow introductions were made along with monitoring their together time to make sure he's learning dog social cues appropriately. Beyond his playful antics, he's a devoted companion, showering affection on his human pals with every wag of his tail. With Fergus by your side, every moment is filled with love and laughter.
