Hi there!! My name is Pepper, and I am an adult male cattle dog. My friends at the shelter noticed that I seem to be visually impaired, so make sure to go slow with me :) I am very friendly once I get used to your smells and sounds. I know sit, and I love treats and belly rubs. I might need a bit more guidance on walks than most dogs do, but that just makes me unique! Loud noises tend to spook me, so a quieter home would be ideal. If you think we would be a great fit please come meet me today!

An Mcas volunteer enamored with Pepper, wanted others to know how special he is and after walking him yesterday she mentioned:

"I wanted to highlight Pepper, the visually impaired dog. He is such a sweetie!!! He's also absolutely stunning, mellow and nice to walk. He loves to drop and roll out of the blue, and loves belly rubs. My impression is that he is VERY visually impaired- maybe only seeing bright light. He was a happy walker and mostly needed some encouragement/guidance going back up the stairs from agility. He also was fearful and froze when Allie came onto the trail looking for something. She was speaking to him gently but he still preferred for her to pass before we kept walking. I hope he finds an adopter or rescue soon! Walking him made me miss having a blind dog. 💘🥹"
