My name is Clinton and I am the dog who is always prepared for a marathon - as long as it is a movie marathon. There is nothing I love more than a cozy, warm bed and some good company. We can discuss our favorite foods while you give me pets and attention. I promise to provide you with lots of laid-back love and friendship if you save me a spot on the couch - or at least on the floor next to you! I am looking for a family that is familiar with the Chow Chow breed and will be able to keep up with the grooming care that my breed requires. I can be fearful at times and the shelter is recommending that if you have kids in the home, that they be over the age of 5 years.

If you haven't ever considered adopting a Chow boy, meeting Clinton will change your mind!
In his shelter kennel, Clinton is very depressed - he will lie down and not look up at anyone -  unless he is sitting with a volunteer getting gentle petting/massage - then you can feel his appreciation.
But bring him outside the kennels, and into a more quiet yard and talk to Clinton and begin to engage with him, or go on a walk (he loves walks) and you'll fall in love with Clinton!  Just give him time to feel secure. He is shy, not aloof.

Someone will be very lucky to adopt this sensitive lovable sweetheart!
