Hi there! My shelter name is Captain Caramel, but you can call me Mel. I am about 3 years old and weigh around 44lbs. I am looking for a quiet home with patient owners who will allow me the time I need to learn that people can be nice and sometimes they even have good treats. And as you can see, I could use some extra groceries. I am friendly at the front of my kennel, but can be unsure about petting and handling. If there are kids in my new home, they should be at least 12 years old due to my handling sensitivity.

Hope this little guy gets a great new indoor home! Captain Caramel ("Captain"? "Mel"? "Caramel"? "CC"?) came into the shelter very dirty/scrawny and sad with an injured from leg (almost healed). He is getting good care in the shelter, but it is not a home. Helping him to blossom in your home will be rewarding, and a great way to bond. CC is a sweetie and has the softest big brown eyes.
