Hi there! My name is Reese's Pieces, but you can call me Reese! I am a super sweet 10 week old American Shelter Dog Mix that weighs all of 5 pounds. The shelter has no idea what breed I am because I came in as a stray, but it doesn't matter because I sure am cute! I have been in foster for the past few days with a staff member and here is what she knows about me so far:
I love dogs! Big dogs, small dogs, puppy dogs, any dog that will play with me! My foster momma has a 40 lb dog at home and we wrestle all the time! Don't let my size fool you, I am a feisty little dude! I also LOVE cats, but they don't really love me yet, but I keep wagging my tail at the two I've been living with and trying to give them kisses, but they kind of scare me because they are twice my size. I like to entertain myself when the other dog doesn't pay attention to me, so the shelter thinks I'd be fine as an only dog, but I'd sure love to have lots of doggy friends so I can be socialized properly. I also love ball, and toys. My favorite thing so far is fetch! It's so much fun. I'm currently being crate trained, getting a hang of this potty training thing (yes I still have accidents in the house but hey, I'm only 10 weeks old!), am learning to not use my teeth with people, and already know the command "sit"! I am pretty high energy already as well, so my ideal home will be active and willing to play with me a lot in the home until I am old enough to have all my shots and go out into the world for fun! I hope you are ready to continue to properly train me with positive methods, continue my potty and crate training, and understand the work that comes with having a young puppy!
I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ON 10/16/18, AND THERE WILL BE A SIGN UP SHEET OUTSIDE THE SHELTERS FRONT DOORS AT 11 AM ON THAT DAY. You must be present at 12 PM when the shelter opens to be considered to adopt me!
