I'm Duchess, a special girl seeking a special home. I'm an 9 month old Great Dane who is looking for a patient adult only home that is willing to invest some extra time and love to train a deaf girl like me. My new owners must agree to keep me on leash when I am out and about and not in a fenced area because that's extra important for my safety. I am looking forward to learning all about hand signals and what they mean so I can be a wonderful companion. I currently weigh about 76lbs, but remember I'm still a growing girl. THERE WILL BE A SIGN UP SHEET FOR MY ADOPTION OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOORS OF THE SHELTER ON 8/16/18 AT 11 AM. My adoption will be on a first come, first serve basis.

  1. This is a beautiful pup; loss of hearing will be a minor issue in her life. We have rescued an older Great Dane. He is a lovely, peaceful dog who accepted a second rescue (a standard poodle) into the household with no problem. Titus likes to run around but is happy to settle (on a loveseat) in the evening and under his own blanket on the floor overnight. Invest in Duchess. You will be so happy you did. Danes are empathetic, loving indoor dogs, very trainable and willing to please.
