"STEVIE" loving Cocker Spaniel

ADOPTED!!!

Stevie came in as a blind stray dog to Dove Lewis Emergency Vet and was transferred to MCAS shelter.

Here's a little more about him in this Video (2nd half of video)

Stevie was in a lot of pain from the Glaucoma which caused his blindness.  Stevie was fortunate to have his painful eyes surgically removed and then placed into a compassionate MCAS Foster care home with Mary Pat and her family. Stevie is a great dog, who just needs a good home with patient kind people.

Please Note: If you'd like to help the local Multnomah County Stray Animals like "Stevie" who come into the MCAS shelter in need of medical help, you can do wonders for them by donating to "Dolly's Fund" "It's very rewarding  to know that your donation will help a medically challenged stray to get the extra care.

I’m Stevie and when I arrived at the shelter I had severe Glaucoma that required the removal of both of my eyes. I’m now pain free and adjusting beautifully. I've learned to navigate my foster home and follow my family’s voice. I’m living with other dogs and doing just fine but my new family will need to keep me protected since I won’t necessarily know if another dog isn't keen about me. I will alert bark to people at the door and it takes me a bit to warm to strangers that enter. When I know you I'll welcome you with a happy animated stubby tail dance of joy. Stevie is house trained, loves his chewy toys and even has conversations with them. This special boy is seeking a special adult family to continue helping him adapt to his sightless world. In return you'll have a beautiful, devoted friend with a zest for love and life. To see this cutie please contact Donna, the foster coordinator @ 503-545-3021 or donna.b.scott@multco.us.
