My finders named my Sweetie because they said although I was shy at first, I quickly warmed up and was so very sweet. I have an eye condition that will probably require ongoing treatment and your adoption counselor will discuss that with you. I am a mellow girl who loves pets and gives kisses. Hi, my name is Moose. You could describe me as big and brawny with a beautiful smile. Like most Labs, I love food and will gladly take it from your hand or your counter so my new people will need to keep things put away while I am learning the rules at my new home. I'm not even a year old yet, so basically I'm still in puppy mode. I know sit, but don't have a lot of training - but that's where the food comes in. I don't have to eat from a bowl so using it as rewards for good behavior around the house or out and about would be fantastic! I do pull hard on leash, but tiring me out before going on walks and using appropriate equipment will make teaching me to walk nicely much more enjoyable for both of us.

Hi! I'm Bugs, short for Lovebug. All of the volunteers in the shelter say that I'm the sweetest girl. I love walks and butt scratches and treats. I'm cautiously curious about other dogs and would appreciate slow, careful introductions. When it comes to people, I love pretty much every person I meet. I'm a bit clumsy at times and I have a lot of energy for going on adventures with you, but once I get my wiggles out I'm pretty laid back and ready to settle in for some snuggles. I can't wait for us to explore hiking trails, city parks and the beach! I'd love to live somewhere with a yard or a park so that I can get regular exercise. I'm also really food motivated, especially when cheese is involved, which means that training with me should be a breeze. I already know sit, stay, come and shake, and my new home will likely need to work with me on crate training and some separation anxiety. My time in the shelter has made me very eager to be with people. I am a very strong girl and can become easily overstimulated and mouthy, so I will need an adult only home that can provide me with the physical and mental needs channel my extra energy!

Trent is Quite a character!

 ok, so Trent is not your classic Black Lab, just a Black Lab "mix". A Mix with the same desire as a black lab to please his people, to fetch a ball for a bit in the yard; but Trent is also funny! A trait coming from his other mysterious blend of dna.  Good-natured, lovely mature guy. In the shelter he has passed politely by the other dog kennels (no easy feat) and he waits to be taken outside to do his business.

Trent was very scared/stressed initially and didn't want to be petted but has really come out of his shell and loves attention now!

Pickles should really be named "Diamond," and not for the diamond shaped marking on the top of his head. This dog is an amazing gem: calm, easy to walk, great manners including a very pretty "sit," and he appreciates attention and good scratches on his haunches and neck. He likes treats, but takes them gently. He likes play, but doesn't get carried away. He looks powerful, and he is powerfully lovable!

I started off pretty shy here, but I am now blossoming into a social butterfly and I get along with other dogs.
