Boxer Mix 2 Years Old
neutered Male Medium sizeHousetrained: Yes
OK With Kids: Yes
OK With Dogs: Yes
OK With Cats: Likely
Personality: Affectionate, Couch, Friendly, Funny, Loves, Playful
Pax, our 48 pound 2 year old (boxer?) mix, is really fun. So fun, his foster family thought he’d enjoy watching some stand-up. Turns out, Pax is the kinda guy that mostly enjoys his own jokes. Other people’s jokes? Yawn. Besides being a terrible audience member, Pax is nearly perfect. And now he’s ready to yuck it up in his own home.
Pax was found stray and was an immediate favorite at the shelter. He quickly befriended the other dogs and was cuddly and sweet to the people he met. Unfortunately, Pax developed a bad case of pneumonia and so we were asked to help. After weeks of rest and antibiotics (and a neuter), Pax is back to himself. And that self is pretty delightful.
Friendly to everyone, Pax loves people and other dogs. He’s happy to see dogs both on and off leash and is a hit at the park. We haven’t seen Pax around cats but he’s mostly curious about rabbits, so a dog-savvy cat may work. Kids over 8 would be okay in Pax’s home as well.
Pax loves a good hang. He’s happy to run, hike or just walk and then watch the sunset. Pax is potty trained and very good in his crate. If left alone, Pax may aerate shoes or turn jeans into cutoffs, so a crate or baby gate is kinda essential. Pax would love an active adopter (who won’t subject him to improve comedy).
Pax is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $300
Are you trying your hand at stand-up and you’d like some very very constructive criticism? Or perhaps you’d be happy just to laugh along with Pax at his own comedy. Either way, apply to adopt on our website. https://www.stumptownstrays.org/adoption-application

Pax: From Shy Guy to Social Butterfly!
Hi there, I'm Pax, and I'm ready to find my forever home! I'll be
honest, the shelter was a bit overwhelming at first. All the new faces
and noises made me a little nervous, but I'm slowly starting to come out
of my shell.
Once I get to know you, you'll see how friendly and playful I really am!
I did great in doggy playgroups and made lots of furry friends. I'm
hoping to find a family who will be patient with me as I adjust to my
new surroundings. With a little love and understanding, I know I'll
blossom into the best companion you could ask for!
If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who's ready to give
you all his love, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, I'm
worth the wait! ❤️
