"WOBBLE" French Bulldog/Staffy mix "STUMPTOWN STRAYS"

Stumptown Strays" is a wonderful local Rescue that helps shelter dogs in need of medical assistance.

"WOBBLE" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Breed: French Bulldog & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, neutered male, house trained 9he's getting there...)

3 years 31 lbs  Adoption Fee: $400

Dogs- yes , Kids - yes, Cats, yes

Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Curious, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Playful

Wobble, our 3 year old 31 pound dog, is likely a mix of a French Bulldog and a Staffy. People have been experimenting with this concoction to...make a bigger French Bulldog? A smaller Staffy? We aren't sure. This is a terrible idea. Wobble is the sweetest dog and he certainly deserved a better body than the one people designed for him. Although we can't help him with that, we can find him a great home.

We were asked to help Wobble after he was found stray and injured. Diagnosed with a fractured hip, he was also covered in bite wounds. Despite being uncomfortable, Wobble has always been 100% smiles and wags. We took in Wobble to help him heal from his wounds and to remove some fractured teeth. He's recovered perfectly.

You can't find anyone more friendly than Wobble. He is great with all people, all sizes of dogs and with cats. Wobble is a bit of a bulldozer when he plays and can get a little mouthy, so we recommend sturdy kids in his home. Wobbles is crate trained, loves car rides, and has been to several Pickles games where he is very distracting.

Although Wobble's hip is healed, due to his breeding, he looks like he was pieced together from several different dogs. Wobble is mostly head and has a tiny butt. He is almost tragically bowlegged and has a hard time getting around efficiently. Although comfortable now, Wobble is understandably not that into walks. He is happy to trot around a bit, but his adopter should get him a wagon if they want to go any distance. Wobble is brachycephalic (smooshed face) which means breathing is not his forte.

We suspect Wobble had never been in a house before we met him. He is still learning to exclusively pee outside because of this, but is coming a long way. Wobble looks great in a belly band.

Wobble is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives.

Sweet Lilo is a beautiful 4-year-old female dog looking for a very special forever home. This lovely girl is a bit shy and fearful at first, and she needs a patient family who understands that it might take her a little time to feel safe and comfortable in her new environment. Once she trusts you, Lilo's true, loving personality begins to shine through! She dreams of a quiet home where she can slowly blossom, receive gentle reassurance, and build confidence at her own pace. If you have a calm household and an abundance of patience, you could be the perfect match to show Lilo just how wonderful life can be!🌸

"LOUISE" The Kindest Pitty *TLC please* "STUMPTOWN STRAYS"

Stumptown Strays" is a wonderful local Rescue that helps shelter dogs in need of medical assistance.

"LOUISE" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Pitbull Terrier mix, spayed female, house trained, 5 years 54 lbs

Dogs- yes , Kids - yes, Cats, yes

Personality: Affectionate, Couch, Dignified, Friendly, Gentle, Loves, Quiet

Louise, our 54 pound 5 year old pitty mix, is so nice. She makes "hearts for eyes" at everyone and will accept pets from anyone willing to give them to her. Her perfect attitude is remarkable considering how uncomfortable Louise was when we met her.

Found stray, we were asked to take Louise due to her terrible skin. After years of neglect and a chronic flea infestation, Louise was mostly bald. Her skin was infected, itchy and red. Despite this, Louise has been nothing but sweet and grateful. She has been with us for almost 4 months now. Although she will never have normal skin, she's so much better, and we've got a good plan going forward.

Louise is very friendly. She is perfectly crate and potty trained and is quiet when left alone. Great on a leash, Louise is a joy to walk. She is very easy going with all other creatures. Louise likes other dogs and seems to have no interest in cats. She is truly a mild-mannered, happy dog.

We have worked hard on Louise's skin. She's been to a dermatologist; we've done skin biopsies, cultures and medication trials. Louise has severe atopy, which is an environmental allergy. Some foods exacerbate this allergy, and Louise does better on a hypoallergenic diet. Like a lot of dogs with atopy, Louise needs to stay on a medication called Apoquel to control her symptoms. This is typically expensive. However, thanks to the @1510Foundation for covering Louise's medication in its entirety, the Apoquel is free to her adopter for life!

Louise will need an adopter that understands that allergies are manageable, but not curable. The hypoallergenic diet, consistent flea treatment, and Apoquel helps a ton, but Louise will forever periodically get infections. She'll need to be bathed more than other dogs and will have more trips to the vet than a dog without atopy. Louise is totally worth it.

Louise is heartworm negative and current on her flea and heartworm preventatives. We are not asking an adoption fee for Louise.

Have room in your life for the world's kindest pitty?

"CHONKY MONK" sweet, sensitive 8 mth Shepherd mix *would like dog companion* "STUMPTOWN STRAYS"

Stumptown Strays" is a wonderful local Rescue that helps shelter dogs in need of medical assistance.

"CHONKY MONK" is Available for adoption with STUMPTOWN STRAYS

Shepherd mix, neutered male, house trained (almost), 8 mth 48 lbs (and growing)

Dogs- yes , Kids, older  adoption fee $350

Personality: Affectionate, Quiet, Funny, Loves, Playful, Friendly, Brave

Chonky Monk, our 48 pound 8 month old mixed puppy, comes to us from our friends @firstnationsvet (check these fine folks out if you haven't already). They were doing a spay/neuter clinic on the Warm Springs Reservation when someone brought in Chonky. Found injured by the side of the road, it was suspected he was hit by a car. We took him in and diagnosed him with a fracture to his femur. Thanks to the @1510Foundation for covering Chonky Monk's care in its entirety, we were able to have his leg surgically repaired. Finally healed, it's time to find this teddy-bear of a dog a home.

Friendly to everyone he meets, Chonky is a sweet, sensitive, quiet soul. He loves to cuddle and is basically a 48 pound weighted blanket. A true love sponge, Chonky would do well in most families. Because he's still a baby, and baby dogs are mouthy, we recommend only older kids in Chonky's home.

His foster home was probably Chonk's first experience at being a house dog. Because of this, Chonky Monk is still learning. Leashes are odd to him and he's still practicing how to walk on a lead. His main experiences with cars didn't work out great for him, and they still scare him. But Chonky is very food motivated, smart, and eager to do a good job.

Chonky Monk is great with other dogs. We think, due to his inexperience at being a city dog, Chonky would do best in a home with another confident dog or two. Like a lot of dogs with previous food insecurity, Chonky prefers to eat by himself. He doesn't like feeling like another dog will take his kibble. Chonky is nearly potty trained, great when left alone and self entertains with toys. We suspect he will be 60-70 pounds fully grown.

Chonky Monk is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped. Like all puppies, Chonky Monk will thrive with ongoing training and socialization.

Think yours is the home for Chonky?

"BEATLE" *ROCK STAR!* middle-aged Black LAB mix *Easy to walk *HOLDS IT!* "MCAS"

"As a dog walker I thoroughly enjoy walking Beatle each week; he is a true rock star. He is very calm at leash up. He loves going for walks, being with people and playing fetch. Beatle walks well on leash and does not pull. He tunes in to his walker and has been trained in commands like sit and wait. He is house trained and clearly prefers to not make a mess in his kennel. He has a fun attitude and he loves affection. This smart dog will do well with rewards based training, consistent care and exercise, and a loving family. Please consider bringing him home, or spread the word so he can find his forever home!"

"MILLIE" Pitbull IMMEDIATE *PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED * "OLD DOG HAVEN"

"MILLIE"  PERMANENT Old Dog Haven PERMANENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED: for "OLD DOG HAVEN"(note: all medical expenses paid by rescue)

(fosters needed -located in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)

"Millie" is a Likely intact female pitbull, very thin at 45 pounds.

This girl came into shelter as a stray with a lot of "lumps". Most concerning is one on a lower hind leg that could be a mast cell tumor (or perhaps something less or worse malignant) and from this photo looks like it is starting to ulcerate and
thus get infected. Her bloodwork looks like infection/inflammation
also.
She needs to get good vet care right away to see if we can help.

The shelter says she is the sweetest, gentlest girl they've had in a
long time and totally nonreactive to the others dog in the shelter even
when they charge up to her kennel door.

They have not otherwise
dog-tested and we don't know how she'd be in a home with others, but
their reports are encouraging. If you could give her a home and
immediate vet care, and commit to her even if it were a short-term
hospice or lots of specialist visits were needed, please let us know.

"TWO TOE TONY" easy walker, gentle soul, CATALOULA mix, "YAKIMA Humane SOCIETY"

Yakima Humane Society   info

Dogs on their website   https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/dogs/

Yakima, WA is a long drive from Portland, but the Yakima Humane Society seems like a decent animal shelter that could use a boost for attention.   They spay/neuter all their adoption pets and try to do adequate adoption screening (which is more than can be currently said of Mult County animal shelter!)

TWO TOE TONY intake 3/3/25  Adoption fee $175

Animal ID 57951633  male, 3yrs, 1 mth 25days  60 lbs

"Listed as" Catahoula Leopard Dog mix",  Yakima Humane Society FB

"Two Toe Tony is still looking for his forever home! Are you it?
He is a beautiful three year old Catahoula mix. Tony is a handsome boy who came in with some puncture wounds to his face. They have since healed and Tony is looking/feeling amazing. Tony is a very sweet boy who walks well on his leash and loves to stop and roll in the grass. He is more of a leisurely walker and not in any hurry to go anywhere fast. Tony has a gentle soul. He is looking for a home with lots of understanding and love. He is very food motivated and doesn't understand how to take treats/food softly so that is something someone will have to work on with him. Due to this we recommend a home with no young kids, he has been great with them but he can't help but steal their food and isn't the softest about it. Tony is a great dog just waiting for someone to swoop him up.
Apply to adopt Two Toe Tony online today or come down in person to fall in love (we do same day adoptions).

"EMMETT" GENTLE (was neglected) ROTTWEILER *GOOD with DOGS, cats, children "AGAVE RESCUE"

"EMMETT" AVAILABLE for ADOPTION with "AGAVE RESCUE"

"Teddy bear Emmett is such a sweet, easy going, temperamentally sound Rottweiler
Nothing really phases this guy. He’s just a happy-go-lucky kiddo who is slightly ball obsessed but also a couch potato the rest of the time.
Good with other dogs, cats and kids. Crate trained. Good in the car. Laid back and would rather lounge in your yard than patrol it defensively.
Emmett’s perfect home would have a fenced yard because he loves to sunbathe and play with his ball. He self entertains! And not a ton of stairs because his front leg is a little wonky and steep flights might be challenging. He’s very dog neutral meaning he is a great hang out buddy for another dog but he has zero interest in playing with another dog. No leash reactivity. Greets strangers happily.

EMMETT's  Facebook post  https://www.facebook.com/AgaveDog

Emmett's Petfinder post

Rottweiller, adoption $250, (neutered) male,  apprx 3-4 yrs, 65 lbs

dogs - yes cats - yes, children- yes

Emmett has so much love to give and is a sponge for attention 🐻🖤🤎
He’s hoping for a home that mostly wants a hang out buddy for some short strolls and a game of fetch. He’s not a very athletic Rottweiler due to some physical limitations but he is the sweetest guy to chill with!
Emmett is approximately 4 years old and he’s a smaller Rottweiler topping out at 65 pounds. He is dog neutral (meaning he’s not interested in playing with dogs but he’s polite and respectful with other dogs including small dogs.) He has a high toy drive and shares his toys well with other dogs but if you also have a high toy drive dog, smart management should be implemented so it’s not competitive. Emmett completely ignores the cats in his foster home and has been great with 7 and 9 year old kids in his foster home.
Crate trained and good on car rides.
Fostered in Vancouver, Washington

Please read Emmett's entire profile (Below) before reaching out.

his past:  Emmett was found mauled, bullied by another dog, but because of kind people, he got into a Rescue so he could be loved, given time to heal, and find a good home.

Meet Emmett

Please read Emmett's entire profile before reaching out. We are seeking a home with a fenced yard for him because he is really comfortable outside and loves to lounge and play with his ball. This boy is a real gem temperamentally with no aggression issues whatsoever however he does have some aspects to consider...

Emmett reminds us of the cutest little gargoyle! Once you meet him you'll understand. He's a short-framed boy that looks like purebred Rottweiler only with a smaller frame. We rescued Emmett out of some absolutely terrible neglect in California but his resilient personality has remained a happy boy throughout his recovery! Emmett loves life.

- Approximately 4 years old and 65 pounds

- Appears to be a purebred Rottweiler, his tail is docked and front dew claws are removed.

- He does have a slight limp on his front leg which is likely from an old injury. It has been x-rayed and no fracture was found but he does have a hitch in his walk. He is also fairly flat footed on his front paws. He will not be an athlete or hiking buddy but he will enjoy running after the ball or strolls around the neighborhood. His exercise requirement is pretty low. A walk and some fetch would be fine by him.

- His two main goals in life are to play with his favorite ball and to get heaps of attention from people! Emmett is extremely ball motivated and self entertains just having his favorite ball around. He also enjoys soaking up the pets and cuddles from people. He's just learned to snuggle up on the couch with humans and he thinks it's pretty nice! He knows no stranger and greets everyone politely without jumping up and with a smile.

- Super neutral with other dogs! He is not reactive to meeting or hanging out with other dogs large or small. He currently resides with a 45 pound female dog and also has hung out with an intact male French Bulldog and he is polite and a gentleman. Emmett has not been playful with other dogs so if you're looking for a playmate for your dog, he might not be the ideal energy level. Emmett more or less just likes to hang out with dog friends.

- Good with cats and fostered with two cats. Emmett pretty much ignores them and has not show any prey drive.

- Good with kids and has been fostered with kids ages 7 and 9 years old. We believe kids ages 7+ in his future home who are respectful of dogs would be just fine with Emmett.

- Walks nice on leash and doesn't pull much at all. He is not reactive to other dogs on leash. No barking or lunging seeing other dogs or people.

- Good for car rides and no car sickness. He does need a slight boost from the human to help him up into the vehicle but is cooperative for this.

- Shares toys well and no resource guarding noted. He is highly ball motivated so if you have a resident dog with a high ball drive, this is something that would take management between dogs to ensure no competition.

- Emmett does need consistent supervision and structure with his potty habits. He was largely an outdoor dog his whole life and is learning the ropes and routine of being a household member. He also just got neutered on May 19th so the testosterone is diminishing in his system some. He's not a marker indoors but sometimes has had pee accidents and is a work in progress on this but is getting better with consistency.

Emmett is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, bloodwork done and it looks good, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He will have a dental on June 13th to remove some broken and worn down teeth and we will cover the cost of this procedure. He can be met in his foster home prior to that and we would get him to surgery and recover him for a week afterwards. His adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Tualatin or Milwaukie.
